  We had a great experience and learned lots about the history of the Mayan people with our great guid Arturo. After we drove to a cenote and have lots of fun swimming and learning out how cenotes work. Over this was a 5 star trip but the main reason it was was because of our guid he was super friendly and showed lots of hospitality.

  Amazing day. Arturo and Hugo took extremely good care of us, thoughtful, informative, and safe. These are the type of people you hope to meet when you visit a different country and these are the types of places you hope to experience. The day was full of excellent sites adventures conversation and food. There’s no way we could have done this on our own with a rental car. This was the Most enjoyable experience we had in our entire trip. Hassle-free, safe and memorable.

• Coba and cenotes to ourselves!

  We had a private tour for our family of 5 of Coba and two cenotes. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable, and the best was that we beat the crowds everywhere we went! We arrived at Coba just after 8am and there were very few people around. We had the whole pyramid temple to ourselves - hiked up, view a the top, hiked down, with no one else around! Same at the cenotes. We visited two underground cenotes afterward and were the only people there for a swim which was pretty special. Would definitely recommend! Friendly service, good communication, great schedule. Price seems to be consistent with any other private tour.

• Incredible Ek Balam and Cenote

  I didn’t see it on the list, but we actually went to Ek Balam and the Xcanche Cenote. INCREDIBLE! Loved the whole day. The hours flew by. Our guide, Artuero, was so happy and fun and knowledgeable. We got to climb clear up the main pyramid and look around for miles in every direction. The Cenote was the perfect temperature to explore and swim and jump off the sides for an hour.   We recently visited Tulum with our two teenage daughters and booked two half-day excursions with Absolute Adventures—and both were absolutely fantastic! We had the pleasure of having the same guide, Josh, for both trips, and he was truly exceptional. First, we did the half-day cenotes tour. Josh led us to two stunning cenotes: one inside a dramatic cave filled with incredible stalactites (perfect for that wow-factor swim), and another magical open cenote surrounded by beautiful lily pads. He shared fascinating insights into the geology and formation of cenotes while we swam, making the experience both fun and educational. The second excursion took us to the ancient Mayan ruins at Coba. Biking through the lush jungle paths to the site was a highlight—Josh kept our teens fully engaged the whole time with lively storytelling about Mayan history, pointing out wildlife, and answering every question. The girls were genuinely interested and excited, which is no small feat! The transportation was spotless (clean van with plenty of room), and there was a well-stocked cooler full of cold drinks and water—such a thoughtful touch after all the activity. Josh went above and beyond to make both days memorable, safe, and enjoyable for the whole family. His knowledge, enthusiasm, and genuine care really set these tours apart. We wholeheartedly recommend Absolute Adventures for anyone visiting the Tulum area—whether you’re traveling with teens, kids, or just want an authentic, well-guided experience. Five stars aren’t enough! Thank you, Josh and the Absolute Adventures team!

  Our driver and guide Cristina were amazing! We enjoyed our tour so much! The price we paid included everything, drinks, admission to Coba and the Cenotes , even our bikes at Coba. Our tour also included an authentic Mexican lunch. We paid for our drinks at lunch. My children, both 15 loved everything! This was a great private tour and worth the price!
