タタウインはチュニジア南部の都市で、クサール・ウルド・ソルターンのような伝統的なクスール（要塞化された穀倉地帯）や、スター・ウォーズに登場する惑星タトゥイーンにインスピレーションを与えた素晴らしい砂漠の風景で知られる。
Ksar Ouled Soltane
チュニジア南部のタタウィネ近郊にあるクサール・ウルド・ソルターンは、15世紀のベルベル人の要塞化された穀倉（クサール）で、保存状態が著しく、アドベで造られており、食料や貴重品を保管するために2つの中庭の周りにゴルファと呼ばれる積み上げられたヴォールト式の部屋があり、急襲に対する防衛のために丘の上に戦略的に建てられ、スター・ウォーズ : 幻の脅威の撮影地として世界的に有名になった。
