  We had an absolutely amazing time with EastCo for our Safari trip in Tanzania. Wilson, our guide, was so incredibly knowledgeable and made our time with him super comfortable. He was a fantastic person to have with us and made not only educational but also enjoyable. Charlie was also amazing in organising our trip for us. Anything we asked, he accommodated, even with last minute changes that came up unexpectedly. Charlie also organised our hot air balloon experience and flights out of the Serengeti. Thank you! I couldn’t rate the whole experience any higher and will be recommending to all my friends and family.

  We had a group of 4. And EASTCO organised everything from accommodation, transfers, game drives, hot air ballon tour! Even flights from Serengeti airport to Zanzibar!!! Myself my partner and 2 other girls were on the trip with EASTCO and it was an unforgettable trip! Accommodation was incredible! Shower, power and lighting in the Serengeti with all the wildlife outside our tent! But the staff made sure it was safe. We had to have a guide to go to and from our tent. Drinks on the deck while zebra and water buffalo are roaming in the background. Hyenas cackling is to sleep, The game drives were really well run! And we got to see all of the big 5 and soooo much more! We had Wilson for our game drive and he was a 10/10 for knowledge on where the animals would be and to avoid some of the crowds!   I do not know how to describe how incredible our very last minute safari extravaganza was!!! Charles from EastCo felt like the right fit for us from the first phone call. We discussed ethics, crowding, animal protection and all the things I was worried about. He put my mind at rest about bringing our young children aged 6 and 9. He immediately navigated the complicated difference between my husband wanting a luxury holiday, and me wanting to camp on the bush floor! Charles explained everything in an easy to understand way as I had no idea about anything to do with safari. Having our own driver made everything very easy and we loved Wilson so much he felt like part of our family within a day. He even went out of his way to drive an extra ?15 hours between our safari days to collect my forgotten camera! He did this out of kindness and did not ask for anything in return. We were so grateful! All the places Charles selected for us to stay were wonderful, with such war, smiley friendly staff. We stayed up watching the stars together, had happy birthday dances and songs for my little girl from them, were thoroughly well looked after by everyone! We went to Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire National Parks. All were different but equally great. The kids really loved having their own driver and jeep, learning some Swahili along the way and seeking out beautiful animals. We saw lion and leopards and their cubs, were frontline for a leopard v leopard send-off, watched hyenas play with their cubs, have lions take shelter from the shade of our jeep, saw elephant prides up close, all was so wonderful. The kids didn't get bored, even when we spent 6.5 hours at the migration! There are a lot of jeeps in the parks, the worst bit was at the migration. But rangers were present to maintain a line everyone had to stay behind. The animals didn't cross en masse while we were there but it didn't seem to be because of the jeeps as everyone spent time really far away from the edge, as well as a bit closer. The driver felt the crocodiles in the water was their main concern (quite rightly!). We felt the jeeps would be better if they were electric, so to not disturb the animals and the environment. However it might be a while before this can happen. After safari we headed to Mafia Island and Chole, then Zanzibar. Charles arranged the transport which was fairly convoluted but really fun (teeny tiny planes!!), and we even ended up on a flight with a famous artist MBossa and his crew which the kids loved. Chole/Mafia is like a tropical, off-track paradise. Zanzibar (to us) felt like an overcrowded, built-up, very touristy place in comparison. However the sea is stunning! The coral reefs, diving and snorkelling off Chole and Mafia were fantastic for us and the kids - we did lots of jumping off boats, sailing around and eating on sand bars, going to uninhabited little islands, swimming amongst mangrove and helping hermit crabs find new homes at night time! Chole Mjini was absolutely, hands down the most wonderful place we have ever stayed as a family and I can't recommend it enough. Our little family holiday in Tanzania was so wonderful, incredible memories, connections and experiences for all.   Trip of a life time. I couldn’t have asked for a more phenomenal experience than the one I had with EastCo. Our 5 day safari was nothing short of breathtaking, ticking off the big 5, exploring amazing landscapes in hope of spotting an animal before my mates and capturing special footage and photos which I will forever cherish. Our tour guide was knowledgeable beyond reason and knew the most minute details of every single question we had. I wouldn’t change a single thing about my experience with EastCo, it was everything I could’ve asked for my first Safari experience.

  We approached a number of companies with our proposed itinerary and chose Eastco which was 100% the right choice David was patient and helpful (not pushy like some others!) with suggestions for our 8 night Northern Tanzania safari, 2 nights at Boundary Hill Lodge, 1 night at Serena Ngorongoro, 2 nights at Pure Tented Camp central Serengeti and 3 nights Heritage Mara north Serengeti which were a good mix of varied accommodation. Followed by 4 nights at Pongwe Beach Hotel Zanzibar. (All reviewed separately) We had requested Bernard as our guide after reading previous reviews and were not disappointed, his enthusiasm and outstanding knowledge of the different areas, wildlife and birds were second to none, nothing was too much trouble he went out of his way to ensure we had the best experience, we enjoyed many early mornings and evening meals together. We would have no hesitation in the future requesting Bernard as our guide and Eastco to arrange our trip.

  

• First class Safari with EASTCO

  With the easing of Covid restrictions, we were looking for a private safari in Tanzania. EASTCO had been highly recommended to us by other keen photographers so after speaking with David King he sent us a proposed itinerary. It was clear David had listened carefully and after a couple of add on’s we had the safari we were hoping for. Our guide and driver was Bernard who worked tirelessly to ensure we got the most from our trip. Unfortunately our arrival flight was delayed by 9hrs but, in order to get us back on schedule, Bernard drove late in to the evening. We arrived at Boundary Hill Lodge at 11:30pm. The lodge staff welcomed us and had prepared a hot meal. The following morning we woke to spectacular views across Tarangire National Park and watched the sunrise from our lodge. After Tarangire, we visited Lake Manyara, Ndutu, the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater. We chose to spend all day every day on game drives. Bernard was excellent always calm and good natured, he consistently positioned the vehicle to get the best possible photo opportunities. His spotting skills and knowledge of birds and animals was second to none.

  From the beginning David was quick to respond to my emails and suggested we wait to choose where to stay after we see where the migration will be. Bernard was my guide and was one of the best I have had. I stay at a lodge, tented camp and a private camp all wonderful and different experience. Saw the big five, cheetah,three servals and many more animals. They helped with covid testing. When I go back I will definitely choose EASTCO again.

  We had our safari trip of a life time ! The 4 days trip was very well organised. We managed to visit Manyara national park, Serengeti and the Ngorongoro crater, plus a Maasai experience in just 4 days. It was a busy schedule but our guide Wilson managed everything super well. Our guide Wilson was amazing, he is incredibly knowledgeable (no question was left unanswered), so friendly and punctual. His eyes are also incredible ! He spotted so many animals (we saw lions at least 5 times, leopard, cheetahs with cups, it was amazing ! ). The whole trip went smooth and was perfect, I would recommend eastco to everyone (and ask for Wilson !).

  

  

  

• Customized East African Sightseeing and Safari

  My son and I were in East Africa for 19 days, first for a wedding in Kenya, then in Rwanda and Tanzania. Eastco handled all our arrangements once the wedding was completed. We spent a day visiting spots in Nairobi, then went on to Kigali and Volcanoes National Park for a gorilla trek and a golden monkey trek plus additional sites. Then we traveled to Arusha, Ngorongoro Crater, and Serengeti National Park. All our guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and reliable; Gilbert in Rwanda and Wilson in Tanzania were especially good and added immensely to our enjoyment of the entire trip. Eastco handled arrangements for internal flights, meals, lodging, tourist attractions -- everything. Charles at Eastco planned a great itinerary but was also responsive to our suggestions and alterations and was quick to answer our email and WhatsApp messages. We think they did a great job. Special kudos to Gilbert and Wilson who have become our friends!
