Wonderful trip to EBC with a professional agency and guide!

5.00This trip was a highlight in my mountain adventures. The staff in Kathmandu (Tenzin) picked me up from the airport and after a solid briefing, diner Tenzin made it possible to arrange a helicopterflight to Lukla as flights were canceled. I couldn't have arranged it without her! Ngima and Tsering picked me up in Lukla and we had a great trek in an amazing mountain setting with great guesthouses at the and of the day. Later on I was accompanied by Mingmar. He was very professional and has great knowledge of the local culture, wildlife and offered great help when I suffered mountain high altitude sickness. He's an Everest and Makalu summiteer and very professional, speaks fluent English and is also fun to be with in the mountains! Last day I stayed in his guesthouse in Lukla and back in Kathmandu (Mingmar helped me through the hazzle at the Lukla airport..) Ngima picked me up for an interesting citytrip to Bakthapur and Kthmandu. This was my second trip with Mingma and his team and I would never choose another company!

5.00After arriving in Kathmandu I was welcomed by Ngima's wife Tenzin and brought to a great hotel in Thamel. The next day we scheduled the trip which was planned to go to Lobuche Peak. We had a nice Nepali dinner and the next day Tenzin arranged a flight by helicopter to Lukla as airplanes couldn't land in Lukla. Without Tenzin I surely would have problems arranging this myself. In Lukla Ngima and Tsering, the porter were waiting for me and we started the trek. Ngima and Tsering were great company and later the guide, Mingmar, took over. He was fun to be with during the trek. He knew a lot about wildlife, culture and arranged all the guesthouses, which were all great and had good food. In Lobuche I got ill, Mingmar recognized I had severe high altitude problems and he took me to the hospital. We changed plans and climbing Lobuche wasn't possible. We went down along some detours which were great in views, wildlife and remote. Afterwards, Ngima picked me up from the airport and arranged a city tour which was very interesting. I can absolutely reccomend Annapurna Foothills Treks & Expedition as they are very professional and can absolutely deal with changes (flights, routes etc) which are difficult to overcome without a Nepali agency. I had a great time thanks to Ngima and his team and will certainly come back!

5.00This was the second time I went in trekking with Annapurna Foothills Trek and again their services were excellent . We went at EBC through the 3 passes trek and the logistics and the organization went perfectly. Apart from this, what really differenciates Annapurna Foothills from other companies is their carefull care for the customer , in every aspect of the trek. I can give my personal testimony. When I got sick, Ngima organized a prompt a prompt return by helicopter and assisted me also in the hospital. I was ok, nothing serious fortunatly, but I really appreciate their support and care. Thanks again, I hope to have other opportunities to come in Nepal with Annapurna Foothills.

5.00My two daughters and I had an awesome trip to Nepal to trek to Everest Base Camp. We selected Annapurna Foothills Expedition for our EBC Trek for two reasons 1) Local Company from Nepal, 2) Recommendation from co-worker who had previously used company. All my email communications to Ngima Sherpa in planning the trip were always answered in a timely manner. When we arrived in Nepal, Ngima was there to greet us at airport as per the itinerary. All the details of our EBC Trek from start to finish were taken care of in a professional manor. He even arranged (on short notice) a guide and ride for a city tour upon our return to Kathmandu from EBC. Our trekking guide (Jangmu) for EBC was amazing. My daughter's were super excited to have a female guide as we only have had men in the past (Kilimanjaro/Salkantay trek). Jangmu took care of our every need. She kept us at an appropriate trekking pace to help minimize altitude issues on the trek (we never felt rushed). She shared her first hand knowledge of the mountain region, answering our many questions. Our two porters were friendly and always had a smile on their face. I'm so happy we used Annapurna Foothills Expedition Ltd to fulfil a life long dream/goal of visiting Nepal and hiking in the Himalaya's .

5.00Did the EBC hike with a friend and Tenzin (our guide). Was pleasantly surprised to learn that we had been assigned a female guide, something I appreciated since both my friend and I are females. Enjoyed the immensely picturesque views and slower leisurely pace of the hike. Lovely memories to look back on!
