• Highly recommended tour! Herbie is the best!

  We relied on Beijing Layover Tour for our 13-hour stopover in Beijing. We initially booked the tour to the Chinese Wall. The service was very efficient and well organized. Herbie was a fantastic guide, he told us in an engaging way history, facts and curiosities. We enjoyed the tour with him so much that we requested him for a second trip during the 15-hour stopover always in Beijing returning home. The second time took us to discover the Forbidden City and Hutong area. We also had dinner at a fantastic restaurant he recommended. We were delighted with these trips in the company of Herbie!

  Herbie was a magnificent host on our express visit to Beijing. Out of all odds, despite the tightness of our time and all we had to see, it was a relaxed, natural and very instructive tour. Definitely the best way to get to know the crowded Forbidden City. In addition, in the historic center Hutong we were able to eat exquisite local products and stroll among the streets of a city that dawned on a cold holiday. In short, the golden pin for our trip in Asia with long stopover in Beijing.

  We made a 13-hour stopover in Beijing. We decided to take a private tour as we had plenty of time. We bumped into Herbie, a very charming Guide. It has taught us much history of Beijing, especially the areas we have visited. Although we were exhausted from the trip, Herbie made everything more enjoyable and we took it all with much more energy. Also take some spectacular photos, giving you ideas of how to pose or which is the best spot for the photo. We only need to thank you for everything, and we are sure we will meet again.

  So glad we did this. From Daniel's excellent communication and organisation to Tony's informative and friendly guiding, everything was great. Tony and his driver looked after us very well, the car was super comfortable and quiet, and we were enchanted by the guided walk with Tony through the Hutong quarter. We only had 9 hours, immigration was slow and the traffic awful, but Tony was very reassuring and promised to get us back in good time for our next flight, which he did. A wonderful experience.

  It was an awesome experience and opportunity to visit Beijing and the Great Wall in such a short time. Lisa picked us up at the airport. The car was extremely clean and comfortable, they had water and some sweets for us as well. Lisa answered all our questions and explained a lot at every stop. The best Tourguide you can get! We did the Great Wall, forbidden City, Tiananmen Square and the Hutong area and we can really recommend those places. Also they seemed to be really flexible and we could even get some sleep in the car. It was a great day, thank you Lisa!

  We had a very great stay in Peking/Beijing with Herbie and our driver Mrs. Chen. We visited the impressiv forbidden city and a locals place including a fantastic local dinner. Thank you Herbie for introducing your country to us and for answering all my questions ;) Highly recommended - stop/stay in Peking? Book your tour with Herbie, you will have a great time!!! :)

  We had 13 hours in between return flights home from our honeymoon and wanted to see a bit more than just the terminal shops and lounges. We booked this tour last minute after we realized we hadn’t packed any winter clothes. Herbie and Mr Feng showed up with extra winter jackets that saved us and our ability to enjoy all of Herbies knowledge and fun facts on the forbidden city and Beijing’s hutongs. Our favorite part was trying local Beijing specialties at a restaurant! We would definitely book Herbie again the next time we’re in Beijing!
