  Highly recommend this amazing day trip, we booked via TUI in our resort. This trip gets you to all the tourist places with 'no stress' and lots of off roading fun along the way! Our driver Nelson was was amazing taking us off road through the sand and our guide Paulo was very informative.   Great villages, mild climate but the wind is annoying. The landscape is represented by stony and sandy desert. It's still Africa.

  Brilliant trip we went sandboarding in the viana desert seen the shipwreck went to the Sal rei village lovely to see how they live and see the children fishing then we went to Santa Monica beach for a lovely swim would recommend

  We were picked up at the hotel by a Jeep to go straight to the Viana Desert with a guide. Here we had the opportunity to go sandboarding and we received something to drink. We then went quite off-road to the famous shipwreck where you also had some time to walk around yourself. Then we arrived at Sal Rei and we took a walk and told a story about this place. After a Cape Verdean lunch on the beach, the tour continued to Povoçao Velha to mingle with the locals. However, there was no one there and they stopped at a chapel. The day ended on the beach of Santa Monica. This is one of the wonders of Cape Verde, but the waves were high! We made this trip with our daughter, who was just 2. Off-road it was sometimes a challenge, but she also enjoyed this excursion. It is highly recommended if you want to see something of the island. We didn't think it was worth seeing everything separately, but with this trip you still have the feeling that you have seen Boa Vista.

  We were picked up at our hotel. Then we drove on asphalt roads and through the desert to the sandboarding spot, which was fun. Then we drove back through the desert to the shipwreck where we took some photos nearby. Then on the way to Bahia, a beach restaurant where we were served a delicious lunch. We then visited an old church and finally went for a paddle on Santa Monica Beach. Nice trip in good jeeps with a very competent guide.

  Our guide Paulo was excellent and made sure everyone and everything was well. We enjoyed seeing the island very much.
