What To Expect
Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine
伏見稲荷神社は、有名な朱色の鳥居のトンネル以上の存在です。 ほとんどの人は、それを眺める景色に満足している。 でも、これは日本の歴史や文化と繋がるストーリーがたくさんあり、ガイドがより深く教えてくれます。 穀物神を祀る神社の由来 ― ― 「稲荷」とはそういう意味 ― ― にひっかかった魅力的な物語が目に飛び込んできます。 神社周辺で狐の像が見られるのもこのためです。 「狐」とは、稲荷神に仕える狐のこと。
Kiyomizu-dera Temple
世界遺産に登録された京都を代表するお寺「清水寺」へ。 素晴らしいパノラマビューの広大なバルコニーで有名です。 ガイドと一緒に境内を散策することで、壮大な建物を散策しながら日本の歴史や文化を学ぶことができます。

5.00Shaye was the best host! We have done quite a few tours this trip, and we by far enjoyed this one the most. We hit so many of my sightseeing wish list locations on this tour and Shaye was a font of knowledge. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a comprehensive tour of Kyoto if you have not been here before.

5.00All of the shrines were amazing and Laura gave interesting explanations and told very investing stories about each shrine. The ramen at the end she showed us was also amazing! Would recommend!

5.00Had an amazing time! Our guide knew SO MUCH about kyoto and japan we learned a bunch all while seeing amazing sights and even a couple of hidden areas! Highly reccommend to anyone staying one or two days in Kyoto.

5.00This was our 1st tour in Japan and we were so lucky to have Paren as our guide + Riane. We played local for a day. We had yummy Okonomiyaki for lunch, learned how to get our train tickets and identify platforms! Best of all, Paren is a good photographer so our kyoto in a day was captured well. We are planning to see Osaka next time and hoping we end up with Paren and Riane as guides as well.

5.00We loved our visit! Laura showed us the hidden side of Kyoto and it couldn't have been better, away from all the hustle and bustle of the more well-known places. Her tips on food and places to see were exceptional. It was nice to have that home comfort even though we were far away, and to have someone who knows so much about Japanese culture. We will definitely want to do another tour with Laura when we return. Thank you very much Laura!
