• Great hiking to Gokyo Ri, perfect support by Nepal Mountain Trekkers

  Excellent tour operator, all planned in detail, very fast reaction times when peparing, can accommodate all special needs. Perfect pick-up from the airport, nice hotel in the Thamel area next to the operator's office, we got all supplies easily (take some crampons even though you may not need them). We took the direct flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and back, which was great, due to weather conditions there can always be some waiting times. our guide Krishna did a perfect job, always very attentive and flexible. • An unforgettable experience in Nepal !

  3 weeks we were traveling - and it was a wonderful experience! Our destination was the Rolwaling trek over the difficult Tashi Lhapsa pass with the option of climbing the 6000 Parchamo. When choosing the trekking agency, it was important for us to travel without German or Austrian “intermediaries”, but to book directly on site. And so we came across the website of Nepal Mountain Trekkers and had a very sympathetic contact with Ramesh, the boss, right from the first email inquiry. All our questions and requests for changes were warmly and patiently received and implemented. The trip itself was perfectly organized from the airport pickup, via the central but very quiet Green Horizon Hotel, to the return flight from Lukla. Due to the many tent camps and the alpine challenges (ropes etc.) we had 5 porters, a cook (Sonam) and a guide (Ngatar). The tour itself was indescribably beautiful, the porters incredible and Sonam and Ngatar always on hand when the porters had to be secured when crossing the pass. Unfortunately we had to skip the summit due to complete icing (blue ice), but there was no deficit at all. Since we were relatively fast, we had 5 days left, which we use as a couple to walk to Gokyo Ri and watch Everest & Co in the best weather. And here we were grateful for the incredible flexibility of Ramesh and his team: We said goodbye to the porters, Sonam and Ngatar, on an emotional dhal-bat evening and headed to Gokyo. We got the money we had saved in lodge and other costs from the brisk Rolwaling crossing and had wonderful two days before flying back from Lukla to Kathmandu. We can only warmly and heartily recommend Nepal Mountain Trekkers for your next Nepal trip. This organization is actually different from the others: You feel the warmth and desire to make everything possible. The value for money is incredible and there is a company philosophy that is measured by customer satisfaction and never by pecuniary criteria. Thanks again to Ramesh and his team for this absolutely unforgettable experience!

  I spent 30 unforgettable days with Krishna (tour guide). Together we did the Three Passes Tour and followed the route of the first Everest expeditions to Namche. He really did everything to make the trek as pleasant and comfortable as possible for me. Thank you very much, my friend. Both the tour planning and the organization were perfect. I can highly recommend Nepal Mountain Trekkers.

  I did the Gokyo Ri trek and it was amazing!! They took care of every detail since I arrived at the airport. Krishna was the best guide, always asking how I was doing, making sure I was comfortable in every tea house we stayed in and during the trek. If I come back for another trek in Nepal I will choose Nepal Mountain Trekkers again, for sure!

  Discovery world trekking was absolutely fabulous. Life saving! I got acute mountain altitude sickness half way on this trek! Our guide, Suresh Guranag immediately called the company owner, Paul Gurang, and they organized and prepaid a helicopter rescue for me in the mountains to Kathmandu Hospital. Paul, owner of Discovery World Trekking, met me at the hospital, made sure I was okay, and talked to the hospital doctors on my behalf. Suresh piggybacked me down to the helipad. Porter, Robbie also piggybacked me.Porter, Proson, helped and cared for the rest of my group. Outstanding service and care from Discovery World Trekking!! • Gokyo lakes with Nepal Hiking team

  Great trek. Many people, mules, and dzopke the first two days to go to Namche Bazaar as lot of people are going to Everest base camp, but after that we see very few trekkers. The day from Namche Bazaar to Dole is hard, while the rest is easier, with not much elevation gain after Dole . Gokyo Rii is fantastic , great views all around of Everest, Lhotse, Cho oyu,... Cold in late afternoon and early in the morning as rooms in guest houses are not heated and dining rooms are not heated at that time. (especially in Dole) Always sunny skies in the morning with great view and visibility of the summits around. Lodges were generally good , however i would not recommend staying in Tok Tok, it is more quiet but lodge service was not good . Better to stay in Phadking with more choices of lodges. Thanks to our guides Ganga and Aypure and to our porters for your dedication and flexibility in making our trek so enjoyable.

  With the Great help and knowledge of Ramesh from NMT, I have experienced this beautiful Trek and discovered other parts of Himalayans mountains during a 16 Day journey, starting from Jiri, with an excellent guide named Tara. This an excellent way to keep in shape, meet wonderful local people, eat organic food (Dhal Bat Takari...), discover remote and amazing landscapes, encounter wildlife, colourful plants, and feel the energy of continuous rivers & waterfalls. I suggest you to choose the right time to go trekking in the Himalayas, since the weather can greatly alter your experience with the mountains. I was here in November, we had clear skyes everyday, so we had the opportunity to have clear vistas on the many imposing mountains that form this unique region on Planet Earth. Tara, Ramesh, and all Nepalese and foreigners I met during this trip have provided me an unparalled experience with discovering Nepal. I highly recommend to travel either alone or as a couple This is the best way to meet and share with others. Nepalese people, examplified by people at NMT, are happy, sincere, honest, hardworking, proud, outreaching, and most of all Unique. You won't find any other Culture like Nepal anywhere else on Earth. There is also in Kathmandu lot's of good restaurants, my favourite Indian food.
