  We did the Pablo Escobar y Comuna 13 tour with Hector who is a very nice, competent and professional tour guide. We enjoyed the 7h tour to the fullest. It was very informative and fun. Thank you very much!

  My adult son & I did a private tour of Comuna 13 with Mauricio. Concerned about safety, I didn't need to be. He seemed to be well connected & respected within the community, so I felt free to fully embrace the experience without worry of any kind. I enjoyed the whole experience immensely. Not only was Mauricio attentive but also informative, providing much back history of Comuna13 (in English). I highly recommend Mauricio's tours

  Cannot say enough good things about Mauricio and this tour company!! We ended up booking several days with these guys: toured guatape one day, then did a city tour to comuna13 and the metro cable another day, and did an awesome coffee plantation tour for our final day in Medellin. Mauricio and his team are so knowledgeable about anything you want to know and will cater the trips to your interest instead of the same Pre packaged experience. We especially loved seeing the coffee plantation and making coffee with the precious family who has owned it for 47 years - their first visitors since the pandemic! Both Mauricio and Jorge are fantastic guides and followed covid precautions and we felt very safe with them throughout our entire time. They really made us feel like friends exploring the city together. I can’t recommend these enough!

  It was to experience this tour with Mauricio who knows the area, the people, the food etc... He drove us around and felt completely safe in a reliable car. I would hands down recommend Mauricio for any experience/tour in Medellin. We also took the Guatape tour on the same day it was fun, tiring, but most of all eyeopening to see this part of the world.

  My friend and I booked Mauricio through word of mouth via a local. He did not dissapoint. He picked us up at out hotel, took us for morning coffee. My friend mentioned she wanted info on Escobar and he managed to squeeze in information on that. He is very knowledgeable on Medellin and all its history. He knew all there is to know about communa 13. The art, the food and all the locals saying hi to him. He was very nice to the children buying them snacks and such. He will also be your best Instagram boyfriend taking as many pictures of you as you want. He also wore my purse for me the entire walk and took us to meet Chota. Can't recommend this tour enough.

  It was once considered a very bad area in Medellin Colombia,and because of the clean up the work with the locals, and help from the goverment,they have transform this area in one great place to visit,the grafitti is not the vulgar grafitti of common places ,but is pure art and is done by local artists

  We felt lucky to have a booked a private, 6 person tour of Communa 13 with Mauricio. He was a fantastic guide who clearly has strong connections with the people in this neighborhood. He went out of his way to teach us about his hometown Medellin and even added two unscheduled stops to our tour because of our interest. Based on our research he offers an excellent value of the price. I would not hesitate to book a tour with Mauricio if you want a native's perspective on this fascinating and ever-evolving city. If we had been there longer, we would have booked other tours with him.

  We did the Comuna 13 tour with Mauricio, and it was great. Mauricio is energetic, informative and outgoing. He knows a lot about the area and the city and he seems to be on a first name basis with just about everyone. This is a terrific tour. We followed up the next day with a city tour led by Mauricio's associate, Ray, which was also very good. We recommend both tours with Transporter Medellin.
