  Was pretty easy. We got off track and she found where we were and got us to right spot. Just be prepared it takes a lot of battery life on phone and it died. But was really good

  We enjoyed following the tour and the GPS lead map was excellent. It took us to many historical points all over Harpers Ferry. We went up and down hills and over back streets, trails and woods. The major defect is the words and audio. Instead of just providing factual historical data the narrator included her own beliefs and opinions. By the 7th stop we turned the volume down and just used the map to finish the tour.

  The audio for the tour was easy to hear and paced just right. The directions to each location were easy to follow, and the geolocation was spot on as we proceeded to each location. Having the ability to also read the the narrative and directions was very helpful. The map was also very helpful. Overall, I really liked the app and the walking tour. I highly recommend. As for purchasing when traveling with a group, I purchased for each person in my group (2 parents and 4 adult kids), but I was the only one who played the audio on my phone. Everyone just listened to mine. The upside of doing a self guided audio tour is that you can take detours at any point. We stopped for lunch and did some extra walking over the bridge and along the river. You also do not have to try to get to the front of a large group to hear a tour guide.

  The process of ordering was easy as well to apply it. We arrived at the starting location and pushed start and it did. We liked the audio tour because it gave another voice to the details and information of this historical site. We were able to walk at our pace and read the markers. It helped us to visualize as we looked over the scenery what happened here. A combination of past and present.

  The user interface with this app needs some work. Given a free-form walking tour, the app should allow for starting at any point, nearest parking for example. The map view should be clearly designated rather than having to click on Start tour to find it. The map locations could be labeled.

  This tour is not juat a rehashing of the Civil War battle at Harpers Ferry. It tells the history if the diverse popluations that have lived in Harpers Ferry, the economic and cultural drivers of life in the area. Full if interesting facts, vista's, and a beautiful walk on top of it all.

  Once I got the hang of it and figured out which direction to walk, it was a neat tour. It is cool that it automatically starts when you reach certain places. I didn’t finish the tour because it was a bit too much of an uphill hike for me but the parts I did were neat.

  A good way to hear about Harper Ferry ‘s history. Technology recognizes where you are located & provides information about that site. This supports the traveler’s pace in viewing the area.
