• The Most Incredible Kilimanjaro Experience – I Could Not Recommend Them More Highly

  Climbing Kilimanjaro was one of the greatest experiences of my life, and without this incredible team, I genuinely don’t think we would have made it to the summit. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with a level of care, warmth, and hospitality that I have never experienced before. Choosing a local African company made the experience so much more meaningful. It felt authentic, personal, and gave us the opportunity to experience the genuine kindness, culture, and spirit of the people who know this mountain better than anyone. Every morning we woke up to hot coffee delivered directly to our tent, which was such a small touch but made a huge difference in the cold mountain mornings. The food throughout the trek was outstanding—far beyond anything I expected on a mountain. Every meal was fresh, plentiful, and delicious, and we especially loved being able to try traditional African dishes that gave us a real taste of the local culture. But what truly sets this company apart is the people. The guides, porters, cooks, and entire crew brought the most incredible energy every single day. Their positivity was infectious. No challenge ever seemed too big, no request was ever too much trouble, and they were constantly looking for ways to help, encourage, and support us. Our guides Denis and David were absolutely phenomenal. Their experience, professionalism, and attention to every detail gave us complete confidence throughout the climb. They knew exactly when we needed motivation, when we needed rest, and when we needed a laugh. They went above and beyond in every possible way. One of the things that touched us most was how the team would often race ahead to set up camp and then come back out to meet us on the trail, cheering us on and helping us through the final stretches of the day. On summit during the descent, they joined us midway and stayed with us every step of the way down - encouraging us, hyping us up, keeping our spirits high, and making sure we never felt alone. Their belief in us carried us through some of the difficult moments. Reaching the summit was an unforgettable achievement, but it felt like a shared victory with the entire crew. Their passion, dedication, and genuine care for their guests is unlike anything I have ever experienced. By the end of the trek, they felt less like guides and more like friends and family. If you’re considering climbing Kilimanjaro, book with this company.   The 8-day Lemosho Route is one of the most scenic and successful ways to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. Starting on the western side of the mountain, the route takes climbers through lush rainforest, vast moorlands, alpine deserts, and stunning panoramic views before reaching Uhuru Peak.   I did the Lemosho route with Chasing Summits / Operation Kilimanjaro in October 2025, and the entire experience exceeded every expectation. The team were exceptionally professional, incredibly knowledgeable, and made the journey both fun and memorable. I special thank you to Nic at Chasing Summits Johnson, Pius and David at Operation Kilimanjaro their leadership kept the group safe and motivated all the way to the summit, laughing even on the toughest sections. We couldn’t have asked for better guides. Highly recommended to anyone considering this adventure.

  It was great to meet Johnson, his expertise made me feel more confident about getting to the top and that he really did everything possible to solve everything for me. Also I love my fellow climbers very much, sincerely caring, offering to help, and I will miss every face. Thank you to my guide David for trying to stop me at every moment I wanted to give up, without whom I probably couldn't break through myself. The climb to Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak, sees a diverse ecology, quietly and slowly blending in with nature. At the top of the mountain, my tears swirled in my eyes, presumably because I saw myself powerful, or because I saw the persistence of the gray-haired elder and the beautiful landscape, the sky of the world still had this "blue"!!

  In October 2025 we hiked Lemosho route (7 days) with an amazing group from Operation Kilimanjaro. They took care of us in any aspect. From the airport pickup, warm welcome in the B&B, detailed explanation of coming days to unforgettable experience during this 7 days hike.   I cannot recommend operation kilimanjaro enough. This amazing team made me feel like family from start to finish. And we made the summit.   Our tour up Mount Kilimanjaro was an absolutely unforgettable experience – not only because of the breathtaking scenery, but also thanks to our great crew! Dreamteam! 😊 A huge thank you to our two mountain guides Denis and David – they not only guided us safely and with a lot of experience through each stage, but were always motivating, warm and with a subtle flair. Whether it was early in the morning or the last ascent to Uhuru Peak, they knew exactly when to smile, take a short break or pep talk. The rest of the team was incredibly friendly and helpful. The atmosphere in the camp was great every day – there was a lot of laughter, singing and cheering. We were also particularly surprised by the food: Freshly prepared every day, varied, really delicious and above all nutritious – just what you need on such a tour. The organization of the whole tour was absolutely top: Everything worked smoothly from the first briefing to the last stage. You immediately notice that professionals with heart and passion are at work here. This experience was not only physically challenging, but also emotionally very special – and we owe this to a large part of our great crew.
