• Van Go Tourism Did Not Disappoint

  We were slightly hesitant to book our tours in Portugal with a small, private tour company not as well known as the larger tour operators we used in the past. We decided to take a chance on Van Go Tourism based on positive reviews by other travelers. We were NOT disappointed! As part of the planning process, Margarida knew we were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and kindly suggested we modify our “walking” tour of Lisbon to a walking tour with transport which we did. We truly appreciated her insight and perceptiveness in helping us plan our itinerary as first- time, older visitors to Lisbon. She was always quick to respond to our questions and concerns. The half-day tour of Lisbon was incredible with Nuno as our guide, driver, and magician … his perfect parking into the tiniest space kept us entertained in the back seat. His talent was also enjoyed by a group of tourists on the street watching Nuno maneuver out of the tightest parking space with minimal effort to which we heard them exclaim “That was awesome!” That is the best way to summarize our first half day tour with Nuno … simply AWESOME!

  Nino was the best guide. He took us to the best places in Lisbon. He structured the tour with the small group we were in mind. Some were unable to do every thing so he adjusted. I don’t think we missed anything.

  We had a wonderful time spending the day and exploring Lisbon with Miguel and Joseph! Miguel was extremely knowledgeable and told us a lot of history about the monuments we visited. Joseph was our driver for the day and also shared history while also ensuring our safety as he brought us to and from the monuments. Overall a wonder tour where we learned a lot while having fun thanks to Miguel and Joseph.

  Miguel was the most awesome tour guide we’ve ever had!!! He is a walking encyclopedia of knowledge and history of Lisbon, Portugal and the history of the people that live here. The tour was amazing and he knew all the secret ins and outs to skip all the lines. Truly amazing!!!!

  Best day in Lisbon ever. Our guide, Susana, was awesome with a capital A. We got to see the main points in the city, plus she took us on some behind the scenes areas and views that really made the day special. More importantly, she is one of the nicest, professional, and knowledgeable people you will ever meet. Great day.

  My wife and I had Joao for the entire day and he provided us with a wonderful overview of Lisbon including Belem and the magnificent St. Jeronimos Monastery. Also a tour of Alfama, Baxia, Chiado and other sites. A trip well worth the price.
