  My daughters and I had an incredible experience doing our PADI with Aqua Adventures. Sebastian wa sa great instructor - very patient, knowledgable and fun. I highly recommend them if you want to get certified while staying on the beautiful island of Isla Mujeres!

  This is a very friendly shop. The whole itinerary is two days for two confined water training and four open water dives. Unfortunately my last two open water dives were delayed due to the current on ocean and port was closed for 1/8/2026-1/9/2026. I had to leave on 1/9/2026 and Jessica was very helpful to coordinate referral process to my second dive shop in Playa Del Carmen. There is no other fee. There were two families dived with me on 1/6/2026 but it was not crowded on boat and it was nice to meet new people on solo trip for me. I also want to give credit to my instructor Sebastian for his patience and profession on training me. I really appreciate the time with this dive shop and recommond potential diver to get certificated with them. Small surprise to me: I was the first guest who booked through trip advisor. Since I don't have underwater camera so I could not upload any picture.

  I can't express my appreciation enough to the Aqua Adventures team for a fabulous week on Isla Mujeres. Our teen daughters gained PADI - open water certification, wife and I completed the refresher course, four dives (Musa, Manchones I & II), and a Whale Shark snorkeling trip. Jessica was a great asset to us in planning not only our Aqua Adventures schedule, but travel spots around the Isla and with excellent local restaurant recommendations. The dive masters were well matched for our experience level. A special shout-out to Danny for showing us the fun of diving after the learning process, and Lucy for professional underwater photos. We scheduled a Whale Shark snorkeling trip for the last day of our stay. The early week sightings were not so good. We appreciated that honesty. By our Friday trip, the whale sharks had been spotted. Our snorkeling experience that day was spectacular! Whale Sharks everywhere. Dozens. All around us. These graceful giants would swim to our boat then peacefully turn and move on as we dropped into the water to follow. We can only wish that everybody could someday experience this. I'd be remiss not to shout-out the captain and crewmate for this trip. And, yes, they make the best ceviche!! We are already planning our next dive trip with Aqua Adventures. Thank you!

  Absolutely phenomenal. Jessica helped me choose the advanced open-water over several individual courses. Jason was super knowledgeable and we found out we were from similar areas of the world. Nina was my instructor and she was phenomenal. Knows her stuff snd teaches it well. I did 5 dives including night, deep, and drift. The boat crew was great and the diving was awesome! Top shelf! Will definitely be back! Can’t rate them high enough!

  I started by completing the e-learning in a little less than 10 hours. I then did my dives and it was incredible! My instructor, Nina, was be listening, and attentive to the smooth running of my training and with each dive ! I recommend this diving centre with my eyes closed. Everyone is trustworthy and very welcoming. I will return to them without hesitation if I have the opportunity one day!

  Aqua Adventures helped us book a dive stay package that included a hotel, all transfers from the airport to the island, an open water certification for me, and a set of fun dives for my traveling companion. Jessica was super easy to work with by email to lock in what we wanted to do, our budget for the hotels, and making sure we were within easy walking distance of everything to avoid the $100/day golf cart most people need. Danny was my instructor for my four certification dives and two fun dives. He was firm but clear showing me the scuba skills and making sure I could do them independently. He was calming and reassuring, but definitely in charge, exactly how a trainer needs to be to provide a safe learning environment. Every dive I had with Danny was smooth. Even when practicing more difficult skills, we did them thoroughly with zero panicking. Sleeping sharks and palais was my favorite dive. Thank you Danny for helping me enter the world of diving!! Side note - Nina was on two of my fun dives and was assisting another diver. She was our caboose underwater. On shore she is happy and funny but underwater she is a total boss. With Danny guiding in front and Nina keeping us in check in the back, we had the ultimate fun underwater experience with supreme safety, constant okay checks and air checks and zen safety stops. Thank you Nina and Danny!

  I completed my Open Water Certification with Aqua Adventures. My guide Pedro taught me everything I need to know and helped me feel safe under water. I had a great time and saw some beautiful spots and animals under water. If you're thinking about diving on Isla Mujeres go ahead it's so worth it!

  This was my very first scuba experience, and my instructor, Daniel, was very thorough, patient, and encouraging! Everyone at the dive shop was great and I would definitely recommend Aqua Adventures. When I visit Isla Mujeres again, I will definitely book a dive with them!

  Excellent group of people that make you feel like family. The instructors go out of their way to teach in a way that’s understandable but fun and interesting. The boat crews are accommodating and professional. I highly recommend.

  We did our OW and AOW with Nina and Pedro the instructors at Aqua, organised by Jason and Jess in the office All the staff we worked with were friendly and helpful. The team worked well with the boat captain making sure the dives for the day were safe and appropriate for conditions, tweaking things to make sure we had the best experience every day. Nina started our journey and made sure we fully understood everything we needed to know to dive safely and was a supportive, understanding and friendly instructor. Pedro was really supportive and knowledgeable, helping me to overcome some issues with the strong current and, having grown up diving this area, was able to answer any question you could think to ask and provide lots of info about the undersea creatures and landscape and navigation of the area. Jason put time into sorting out some PADI admin issues and adjusted our course days/trips to make sure the dives worked well during our time on the island. Overall, the equipment is good quality and the staff are friendly and focused and I would definitely recommend the outfit as a base for diving the area
