• Spectacular bird watching in Mindo

  We enjoyed a spectacular day of bird watching. Christian is a superb guide who helped us spot 74 birds and all while keeping a list for us. Feeding the hummingbirds was magical. You can’t go wrong with this tour.

  On the way to visiting the Galapagos, I stayed a day in Quito and took the Magic Birding tour to the Mindo Cloud forest, just me and the guide, more expensive that , George Cruz. He arranged the around my interests. In one day, I saw a mind-blowing 64 bird species, all new to me, with the variety of hummingbirds a standout. George Cruz is the most knowledgeable birding guide I have ever come across. I highly recommend the tour.

  This was my second birding trip with Daniel this year and both were exceptional! He knows the best birding spots and his ability to spot and identify the birds is top drawer. I highly recommend him for a wonderful experience.

  This day trip far exceeded my expectations! Daniel Suarez was my exceptional, informative, and fun guide. He picked out the most amazing variety of locations that allowed me to see spectacular birds and take advantage of top notch photo ops., and chose an excellent restaurant for lunch.   A wonderful day of birding in Mindo with Daniel. He was patient with us, adapted timing to our needs, and took us to some excellent birding spots. Plus, he kept a species list for us, so we could concentrate on birds & photography. I would recommend this tour to anyone wishing to familiarise themselves with Ecuadorian birds with an exceptionally experienced guide. Thank you Daniel for an unforgettable day!

  Daniel was an incredible and knowledgeable guide. There were 4 in our group and our focus was birds and wildlife. Daniel did not disappoint! Mindo was unique experience; seeing many different species of hummingbirds and being about to get very close to them.

  Daniel was a very knowledgeable guide and was very flexible on plans. We really appreciate everything and wouldn’t change anything. We spent the morning in Mindo birding and the afternoon in the middle of the world. Daniel also took us to a chocolate maker and we got to try regional foods.

  We had a great trip! We were lucky and were the only two people on the trip, so we were picked up from our hotel and went directly to Mindo. We had an incredible time in the cloud forest - we got to feed hummingbirds and do some hiking and bird watching! Daniel was a great tour guide and was very knowledgable. We mentioned wanting to try some coffee and chocolate since we didn't have time for a full coffee and chocolate tour, and Daniel spontaneously took us to a local cafe and mini chocolate factory where the owners gave us an impromptu tasting after we enjoyed our coffees. On the way back, we stopped for the obligatory photo op at the Mitad del mundo monument and enjoyed visiting the museum as well.

  This was my first excursion during my stay in Ecuador, and I can’t recommend it enough! Daniel was a great guide with an incredible knowledge of the birds we saw and where to scope them out. I have never birded before, but I think this is the start of a new hobby for me! It was also great being able to stop at El Mitad Del Mundo, as we pass it on the way to and from Quito.   I had a great time birding on a private reserve in the Mindo area. Daniel, along with the owner of the reserve, did a wonderful job guiding me and helping identify the many species of birds we saw and photographed. I had a million questions about the country of Ecuador and its people, and Daniel patiently answered every one. Highly recommended!
