A Hunt to Learn more about a city and make new friends as you stay active

5.00After getting back from a trip packed with walking (and unexpectedly shedding a few pounds!), my husband and I were determined to keep the momentum going. We were on the hunt literally for something fun, active, and a little outside the norm for our weekend. That’s when we stumbled upon a local scavenger hunt experience right near home. It sounded like the perfect blend of movement and adventure so we signed up. Enter MJ, our energetic and enthusiastic Hunt Guide. From the moment we started, she was cheering us on, keeping the energy high, and encouraging us every step of the way. The two-hour hunt flew by. While we didn’t manage to complete the entire list, we made up for it with a few fun bonus missions that boosted our final score. One of the most memorable moments? Walking into a dive bar on a mission to find a San Marcos native. The second we stepped in, the music didn't stop but it may as well have. Heads turned. It felt like we were aliens who accidentally landed in the middle of someone’s regular Saturday scene. But, mission accomplished! We found a guy who looked like a leather-clad biker from a movie turns out, he was born and raised in San Marcos and couldn’t have been more welcoming. The hunt turned into more than just a game. We discovered hidden corners of the city, chatted with locals, and learned that San Marcos is not just a great college town it’s somewhere we would’ve loved to have spent our college years. What really stood out was the variety of activities throughout the hunt each one pushed us just a little out of our comfort zone and made us laugh, connect, and enjoy being in the moment together. If you're looking for a unique way to explore a city, meet new people, and get moving, I can’t recommend this hunt enough. We’re already eyeing Kit Kat’s other hunts in different cities!
