Trou aux Cerfs

5.00We had a brilliant experience with Saroj Chucky and her son on the South Island Tour. Their knowledge, respect and tour was perfect. Learnt a lot from them both about the lovely island. 5.00Saroj and her son were lovely guides, very informative and attentive. The island is beautiful and I enjoyed the vistas, waterfalls and 7 colored earths. The local lunch was very delicious and filling, and the tour ended with a great visit to rhumerie before a scenic journey back to my hotel. Would recommend!

5.00We had a great South Mauritius tour! We traveled as a couple by car, and everything was well organized. We saw the main attractions, and both were very friendly and professional. The atmosphere was relaxed, and we really enjoyed the trip. Highly recommended!

5.00I would highly recommend this tour if you want to see the main sights at your own pace and in your own time, guided by a local. I booked this as a solo traveller with limited time here in Mauritius to see the sights in the south of the island on my day off from being out here for work. It was easy to book and I had advance communication with the company on WhatsApp confirming the details and pick-up/ drop-off, which they were able to arrange for me from my hotel. My guide Ishan was fantastic - he arrived early, was courteous, attentive and friendly. He made sure I felt safe as a solo female traveller. He had a lot of knowledge and stories as a Mauritian and was happy to answer any questions. He was careful to ensure that I felt happy with the itinerary and gave me the option to tailor the day to accommodate my preferences - to spend as much or as little time as I wanted at each place. The geopark and 7 sands at Chamarel were a highlight, but all the suggested sights are worth a visit, including the rum distillery tour with which we finished.

5.00Guide Mayurr took us to the most beautiful sights in the south of Mauritius. It was never boring. We wanted to have a German-speaking guide, which unfortunately was not available. So we communicated in English, which was not a problem in this case. I can only recommend this tour.

5.00Annika and her son were wonderful tour guide guides! They showed me Mauritius and told methings that I wanted to learn about as a first time visitor to this wonderful tropical island. I highly recommend them..
Pathetic & worst tour operator. Never recommend to anyone.

1.00I have booked the above tour on 07.06.2026, through TripAdvisor/Viator trusting the site. When I booked, it was duly accepted, total amount deducted from my bank account. And the the individual operator, in this case Tropical Taxi Mauritius contacted me via WhatsApp +230 5823 7695 and stated that my booking is cancelled due to unavailability of drivers and it was a Sunday! Brilliant stuff !! Why the heck someone would accept an order if they cannot deliver the promised service? Even though the tour operator had refunded the money I received SCR 200 ($13.60 USD, €12.00 EUR, and £10.50 GPB) less on the refund. So the trip advisor has ripped me off I guess.
