2002年以降、キャベツツリーベイ海洋保護区は「NO TAKE」海洋ゾーンとなっている。 そのため、漁業や種の採取は厳しく禁じられており、水中の宝が確実に保護されている。 グレート・サザン・リーフの一部であるこの保護区は、岩礁、海草の草原、砂底が特徴である。 このような多様な生息地があるため、シドニーのCBDからわずか30分という好立地で、多くの海洋生物に出会うことができます。

Snorkeling on a glorious summers day

5.00The water was warm, the sun was shining and the fish were out. We did an hour in the water exploring the Shelley Beach aquatic marine reserve as well as a walk through the headland. We unfortunately didn't see the turtle that hangs around, but the beach was incredibly busy with swimmers, snorkelers and boats, so it may have been too busy. 10/10 recommend!

5.00Our guide was very friendly and answered any questions we had. The experience was so fun and nice and relaxing! We even got to witness fresh water coming into the basin after 2 years of no new water coming in due to the drought!
