  Diego, our guide, and Felipe, our driver, were very attentive and kind to us. Thanks to Diego we were able to take beautiful photos and visit Tulum (ruins, museum, cenote) with a lot of information on the history of the Maya. The local restaurant was excellent.   Book a tour of ruins and cenote and Diego and his driver Erick were both great! Always professional, kind and funny, their personalities were perfect for our large group of ladies. We appreciated their patience and both made us feel comfortable on our adventure. Diego provided great information to us about local culture and Maya tradition.   Diego was our tour guide and he was fantastic. He is very knowledgeable about Mayan culture/history and the flora/fauna of the Yucatan. Even more importantly, he shares his passion and knowledge brilliantly throughout the tour to keep it informative & interesting but never overbearing or dull. The cave exploration/cenote excursion was definitely the highlight of the trip for us. Truly a memorable experience and it ended with us swimming (and taking lots of photos) in a cenote all to ourselves. After exploring the cave/cenote, Diego brought us to a local beachside restaurant that served terrific local Mayan delicacies and was easily the best meal of our stay (we stayed at the El Dorado Casitas Royale adults only all-inclusive which had pretty good food overall, but this place was materially better. Tip: try the whole fish dish!) tl;dr - Totally recommend Diego and his group. Totally worth it.

  Diego was an amazing tour guide for our 12 person group. We did the Tulum, and underworld tour, both were really special. For Tulum, we arrived right when the park open and pretty much had the site to ourselves for the first 30 minute. This worked out really well because by the time we left about an hour later, the park was swarming. Diego shared his knowledge of the site and its people with us, allowing us to appreciate the ruins even more. Diego then took us to an underground cave, cenote and river system. This was truly a unique experience, where he led our group through the underground river system and beautiful cenote. Everyone in our group was in compete awe of this site and said it felt like a once in a lifetime experience. We had the cave to ourselves too, so totally felt like a hidden gem. I can’t recommend Diego enough as guide here in Tulum.

  The very private cenote experience was amazing, and very refreshing after the crowds at Tulum. We were the only ones in the caves besides the bats and catfish. It was really special. Go on this tour! Diego was awesome!

  We could not be more happy that we found Pixan Travel. We booked the private Tulum Mayan Underworld tour with Diego as our guide. We were promptly picked up at our Airbnb and driven to Tulum for the tour of the ruins. Conversation with Diego was easy and he is very excited to share information about Mexico. He had everything planned so that we missed the enormous crowds. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Tulum and we came away with a deep understanding of the Mayan culture. Our next stop was the cenote and we were completely bowled over by the beauty of what we saw. We were taken to a spot way off the beaten path. Diego lead us into a cave system where we hiked through breathtakingly stunning natural rock formations and swam in an underground river to emerge into a cenote that we had all to ourselves. The experience was like no other that we have ever had. The last stop was a beach side lunch that was delightful and relaxing and gave us an opportunity to reflect on the wonderful day. The price for this tour included everything above and was very reasonable. Diego is a wonderful host and guide and booking with Pixan was easy and they communicated what to expect very well. Make sure you wear comfortable walking shoes for Tulum and I would also recommend a hat for sun protection. Bring a bathing suit, towel and a pair of water shoes or sandals that attach well to your foot for the cenote. The hike is easy but you spend a lot of it in the water. We will be using Pixan for all our tour needs in Rivera Maya from now on we could not recommend them more highly.

  Second tour with Diego, this time boat-and-float in the Sian-Ka'an Biosphere followed by a tour of an underground river and a private cenote. Wonderful day that we'd do again. Diego is an excellent guide with extensive information about Mayan culture, history, and geography. Highly recommended to anyone who wants a curated, private tour with a small group. We'll be back!   I loved the cenote. I always see pictures of other tours and they are packed with people. Diego took us to one and we were the only group there. It was absolutely beautiful and I learned a lot about the Mayan culture on the tour!

  Absolutely one of the best highlights of our trip! An adventure we will never forget. The cave and cenote were magical. Diego is a fun, cool, and knowledgeable guide. We’ll definitely be doing it again sometime!
