5.00I recently took a guided night tour with Edward the Unmistakably Non-Sparkling, and I cannot recommend it highly enough, assuming you enjoy history, humor, and old-school nocturnal elegance. First of all: no sparkle. Zero. Not even a hint of shimmer. This vampire is strictly matte-finish and honestly, it was refreshing. Now, onto the tour itself. Phenomenal! Edward is absurdly knowledgeable. I’m talking centuries of firsthand experience. He pointed out specific spots where a ghost can be spotted and what their backstory is. Despite his… dietary reputation, Edward is incredibly courteous. He maintained a respectful distance (roughly six feet… from your neck), frequently checked in with the group, and even offered to adjust the pace for “those whose hearts beat inconveniently fast.” Very thoughtful.

5.00Went on a tour for fun with my sister for my birthday and this was definitely an interesting adventure. We got a tour of the local area and fun stories about ghost sightings and of course some history about Salem. Our tour guide is very knowledgeable and definitely knows how to keep you entertained. Highly recommend this tour!

5.00Great tour the guide was very knowledgeable and it has a great ending with a private collection of haunted artifacts! The walk wasn’t horrible even with a bad ankle.

2.00I genuinely believe the tour guide you have makes or breaks a tour so I’m not putting 1 star (would love to try again with a different guide). Our tour guide Edward spoke extremely fast and not loud enough for the group to understand half of what he was saying. He walked very quickly and multiple times those in the group had to tell him to wait because he was missing people. He also confused information and directly told my partner Nathaniel Hawthorne didn’t write the Scarlet Letter??? Other stories seemed combined or misinformed compared to other tour information/previous knowledge. Hopefully this was a bad day for him, but posting this in case this is his norm. Wishing we had another day to do this tour with someone else. We simply didn’t finish and left halfway through because we could not understand half of the stories due to his voice volume. Also of note if you are using Apple Maps, the location of the statue is on the median of the boulevard. 20 Hawthorne is not in between buildings. Disappointed at the ending of our day.

5.00I truly enjoyed this walking tour! Ed was very friendly and very knowledgeable about local stories, sights, and history. The tour took us through parts of Salem that we had not visited yet and gave more details than any other tour. We ended the tour at The Chamber of Terrors with real haunted objects, which was very cool!

5.00This was a very fun tour, loved the atmosphere since it was at night. Loved the vampire fangs that our tour guide Ed had, loved that touch. Favorite part was the cursed items and the place they were held. Overall such a great tour 👍

5.00We ended up being the only two people on a 7 PM tour in September with Ed and we enjoyed it SO much! Ed was very knowledgeable and took us to all the spots you’d want to go to and gave us the inside scoop. Not only was he able to answer any questions we had but he was also able to elaborate well. At the end of the tour we went through the chamber of terrors which was an awesome haunted house with REAL haunted objects to add to the creepiness of the house. Ed is a professional in the haunt industry with over 32 years of experience and definitely knows what he’s talking about. I expect this tour to get very popular in years to come.
