• Very organised tour through a beautiful country rich in culture, beauty and history

  I booked in to the 8 day, 7 night, your in Armenia, mostly because I was interested to explore this part of the world, with some free time between other plans. I expected I would be travelling with a group, but found out I was the only person booked, so it because a private tour. I appreciate that this tour could still go ahead, as some agencies in other countries will cancel a tour if minimum numbers aren't reached, otherwise require a single supplement to be paid. Every person I've met through Silk Road Travels has been so lovely and kind, from my driver getting me at the airport, Inga who showed me around Yerevan on my first day, Hovhannes who was my guide for the majority of the tour, and Laura supporting on the back end in the office. I have felt welcome in the country and very safe. The tour was very well planned and placed, and there was downtime each day if needed. I got to see a lot of the country and visit places filled with history, natural beauty and cultural significance. I've loved every place visited, and have learnt so much about the country, its people and ongoing efforts to recover from years of control and genocide inflicted by neighbouring countries. Regardless, the people remain strong, proud and hopeful. The food was excellent every day, and there was always an abundance of fresh ingredients and interesting things to taste. It reminded me very much of my Greek grandmother's cooking, so I felt right at home. Thanks Silk Road Travels for a wonderful experience!
