Boston's principal role in launching the American Revolution is linked by the brick-lined Freedom Trail. This world-famous pedestrian path is best experienced on foot, in a small group, with a knowledgeable local guide! Your 2.5-hour tour travels from Boston Common to Copp's Hill Terrace in the North End, providing guests a chance to see ALL SIXTEEN official landmarks on the Freedom Trail.
Our small-group walking tour delves deeply into the years 1760 to 1775, the tumultuous period leading up to the American Revolution. We walk in the footsteps of Colonial Bostonians, all of whom grappled with the difficult—yet essential—question of loyalty or rebellion to crown and country.
With a captivating storytelling approach, Hub Town Tours provides the perfect introduction to Boston's status as America's "Cradle of Liberty." As we travel past historic landmarks from Revolutionary Boston, your guide shares the gripping story of a small colonial town careening toward war with a global empire.

Our guide, Lin, was super knowledgeable and made history interesting. Don’t be deterred by the 2.5 hour timeframe. The pace was just right, the terrain was easy, and there were small breaks along the way. We highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Boston for the first time.

Far exceeded my expectations. Joe is the best guide I’ve ever met. He is engaging, funny, informative, and clearly passionate about what he does. I wish he could be my guide in other cities, as well!

Seton was an amazing guide! As tourists, she made sure that we understood each stop and filled us in on history that we may be unfamiliar with as we are not from the USA. The information was perfectly balanced for both foreign tourists and those visiting from other parts of America.

Excellent overview of the events leading up to the Revolutionary War. Walking the trail and seeing the various locations first hand made the history come to life.

Mark was great! His passion for history was evident as he took as to all the points along the trail. I love learning little tidbits you almost can't get anywhere else but from someone who grew up in the area AND spends his life studying history. I've done this trail by myself twice, which is great; but this amplified my experience and I am so glad I decided to join a tour group. I love Revolutionary War history and this tour added to my knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject matter. Highly recommend.

Our guide was very very knowledgeable and passionate about the subject matter, and full of information. I think this is a "must do" for Americans to learn of this country's history. That said, it sometimes felt rushed, didn't cover all of the potential stops, and could perhaps have been a touch longer... but overall we're glad we went!

This tour provided a lot of history and it was well paced. Our tour guide Darcy is also a history teacher and it showed in her knowledge of the material. The time allotted for the tour was good as well. I highly recommend this tour if you are visiting Boston.
