Carriage can transport up to 16 passengers per departure.
Children 3 years and under are free provided that they sit on the lap of a parent or guardian. If you want your child to have a seat, you must purchase a child seat.

Our stable is where your tour experience will begin and end. After checking in you can say hi to our draft horses, watch an educational video, purchases a bottle of water, or use our restroom. As you board your carriage via our inclined ramp / easy loading platform, your certified tour guide will greet you.
Charleston City Market
After leaving our stable, your carriage will stop at the City gate near the Market, where a route is assigned by the City of Charleston. Our industry is governed by this system in order to disperse the carriage traffic more evenly throughout the city. Your tour will cover about 30 blocks and 300+ years of history. Though specific landmarks vary by route, all tours pass by sights that give Charleston its unique charm – custom wrought iron gates, well-manicured gardens, historic mansions with picturesque piazzas, and the many church steeples of the “Holy City.”

5.00Our guide was very good. Energetic and really knew her history. Our horse, Liam, was not fond of people, but he will still get his Guinness beer. Really enjoyed the experience.
Excellent tour, very organized and informative with friendly staff.

5.00Billy was our driver and Mason was our horse! Both great! Bought tickets ahead of time and our seat was already assigned on the first carriage out. Going early was helpful with less traffic and somewhat cooler in the summer. Learned a lot of history and which locations we wanted to revisit. There were some kids on our carriage, which I wound encourage parents to maybe skip this because kids were mostly bored which can lead to some misbehaviors.

5.00We had a wonderful experience on our carriage tour through Charleston. From the moment the tour began, it was clear it wasn't just a scenic ride. The tour was an informative journey through the city's rich history and distinctive architecture. Our guide, Michael, was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging. He weaved together stories about Charleston's colonial past, its role in South Carolina history, and the evolution of iconic homes and buildings. Each street we traveled down felt like stepping into a living museum.

3.00Nice ride, nice deck hands, captain was not very hospitable. He stated this not a guided tour if you have a question you can ask. Just came off rude the whole trip. A guest asked him about a landmark & he seemed annoyed. Music was turned on 1/2 way through the ride. We did see lots of dolphins. So so excursion.
Enjoyable 90-minute ride.

5.00It was nice and enjoyable. Our guide was very funny and entertaining. Prescot our horse did an amazing job escorting us through the streets of Charleston. While we got some history of the city, it wasn't what I was expecting, and to me a bit disappointing, as i thought we were going to see sites of Civil war and other historical sites of the city. instead we got how the trees and flowers made their way to the city and why the doors were shorter than normal size doors. It was a nice and enjoyable ride and I recommend it, just not the historic one i was expecting.

5.00A great introduction to downtown Charleston. Each carriage takes a different route so every ride is different. Wendy, our guide and Cliff (the real star of the show and who did all the hard work!) were wonderful, giving lots of interesting tidbits about the city that you probably wouldn't get anywhere else. To be in the open air carriage really allowed you to be up close and personal with history of the city. It was a great way to get oriented and start my first full day in Charleston.

4.00I enjoyed our tour guide so it was nice for the most part. However, not all carriages go the same places and its just the luck of the draw (literally) where you go. I was looking forward to seeing Rainbow Row and the Battery and I didnt get to either. Maybe you can assign different routes ahead of time so the "passangers" can pick. Otherwise, nice job and id do it again. 👍
