  My wife and I plus our small dog went on the walking tour of La Rochelle and it was absolutely brilliant. Our guide John was superb and had an in-depth knowledge of the history of La Rochelle which made everything come to life. I thoroughly recommend John and Discover La Rochelle. We are already planning a return trip to La Rochelle and really want to go on the Discovery Food Tour which the company also offer. If you find yourself in La Rochelle reach out to Discovery Walking Tours - you won’t be disappointed!

• La Rochelle is a fantastic relaxed place to visit with a real traditional French vibe and atmosphere, I will be back.

  The tour with John was brilliant. All the information was interesting, factual and kept us all engaged from beginning to end. John himself was so accommodating. When we were unable to attend our booked slot, he allowed us to reschedule and was very helpful to us with our situation. We got to see all the major attractions and were informed about the ones we did not see so we could visit in our own time. Food recommendations were great also.

  Great 2 hours which gave us an interesting walk. John is very knowledgable and professional. We highly recommend taking this tour. If we had more days in La Rochelle we would also do the food tour.

  My friend booked this walking tour, which I normally never do, so I went along. Well, all I can say is it was an exceptional positive experience, from a guy who was very laid back and also knew everything La Rochelle and its history. No one will regret two hours with John, trust me on this! Extremely informative, funny and engaging tour guide.

  This tour was a great overview of La Rochelle and its history and best things to do, eat, or buy. It’s especially good for the beginning of your stay so you can take advantage of the recommendations. John is very friendly and adjusts the tour to the interests of the people on it.
