Discover Beaujolais and its special winter vibe on this half-day tour from Lyon. Guided by a local insider and aboard a vintage Land Rover, this cozy tour takes you straight to what makes this region unique !
We love to share the Beaujolais beyond the obvious ! We will then start the day with a cup of mulled wine while exploring an eclectic and impressive collection of vintage motorcycles at Jacky Grolet house, winemaker and collector.
After this unusual introduction to the region, your Insider will take you to an authentic local wine estate to visit it and taste great Beaujolais wines !
We will end this morning ride with something we love to share with visitors : a traditional mâchon. Wondering what a mâchon is? It’s the winemakers’ convivial way of sharing food — local charcuterie, cheese, and a glass of wine.

Your morning begins with a cup of mulled wine while exploring an eclectic and impressive collection of vintage motorcycles. Wine and motorcycles may sound like an odd mix, but Jacky Grolet, winemaker and collector, brings them together with infectious energy and passion.
For the second stop, your guide will take you to visit a Beaujolais wine estate where you'll earn more about wine making and taste great local wines.

5.00Elodie was amazing guide. She was very knowledgeable about wine in general and she knew many of the winemakers in the region very well. Despite our tour being held on a Sunday, she managed to accommodate us and we managed to pay a visit to Thevenet and Domaine Maud Mathieu, both whom she knew personally! I definitely would come back to the region to explore the other crus and will contact Elodie again as the guide.
