Fannette Island
Fannette is the only island to be found in all of Lake Tahoe. It is located in beautiful Emerald Bay on the west shore of the lake. A sparsely timbered, brush covered upthrust of granite that rises 150 feet above the water, Fannette Island was not always known by that name. During the past 100 years it has been known as Coquette, Fannette, Baranoff, Dead Man's, Hermit's, and Emerald Isle. Fannette was the name that finally stuck.

4.00A very nice way to see emerald bay. Boat goes slow so we were able to appreciate the scenery and take pictures. Good commentary but could have been a little louder.

4.00Fun afternoon! Be sure to dress in layers - warm at first but wind is cool. Didn't have any of the food but was available and looked great. Plenty of seating outside or inside if preferred.

4.00Travels across the lake and then along a little of the coastline...disappointed that it spent so much time crossing the lake but, it was still beautiful. Glad we went. Pleasantly surprised that the food we ordered...fish and chips...was so good. Did not expect that quality of food or preparation.

5.00A beautiful walk through Lake Tahoe, to Emerald Bay. And the very good boat! With snacks and drinks served on board (not free)! Tables and chairs arranged in the covered area, and with glass windows; to appreciate that beauty!It was cold on the day 22/05. In the exterior area there are seats and chairs along the boat.
