Join us on a full-day, small-group wine tour of the Spectacular Napa Valley wine country! You’ll visit three charming, back roads wineries and be served a picnic lunch in an idyllic winery setting. Your tour guide will tell fascinating stories and share many interesting tidbits about local history, culture and wine making. Our specialty is intimate, light hearted and truly memorable experiences. Your guide will set up a tasty picnic lunch for you at a picturesque winery. Once the tour concludes, you will be dropped off from where you were picked up. The tour typically has 8-12 guests on board.

Your tour will begin with pickup from your Napa Valley hotel. Where you are staying will define the tour region that you will be visiting. If your accommodations are outside of the winery region, you can arrange to meet us a general meeting spot. You’ll visit three charming, backroads wineries and be served a picnic lunch in an idyllic winery setting. Your tour guide will tell fascinating stories and share many interesting tidbits about local history, culture and wine making. This is not a smarmy or touristy activity. Our specialty is intimate, light-hearted and truly memorable. This tour is sure to entertain with a very approachable and easy-going style. Discover and savor new experiences tasting some of the world’s most celebrated wines. Our typical guest is not necessarily a wine expert but keen to learn a bit about wine and wine-making, and is open to sharing the experience with a few other like-minded wine adventurers.

5.00Any trip to Napa would be incomplete without a winery tour. With Tripadvisor's help, we found the Napa Valley Small Group Winery Tour offered by Platypus Tours. It was a truly wise choice on our part! Our guide, Linda, picked us up bright and early (about 10 am) in the Platypus tours bus where we met our friends for the day. The group was lively and ready to strike off on our day of wine tasting and learning about the Napa region, its history, and the viticulture the valley offered. We made three stops on our trip. All three were family owned wineries, each with a unique story and products. Each stop was relaxing and never so hurried that we didn't have time to ask questions and shop the local products we tasted. Our guide, Linda, was a great source of knowledge about the wineries we visited and prepared us before each stop so that we could spend more time learnbing about what each winery offered and why. She was also our bus-bound "DJ" making sure her play list had plenty of great music for us to enjoy as we cruised around the Napa Valley region. This event was a great find and I highly recommend it to anyone with an easy day to fill sampling wine and learning about the Napa region. Enjoy!

4.00We had a nice time on our Napa tour! Our guide, Tony, was excellent—incredibly knowledgeable about both the local history and wines. We visited 3 different vineyards, and at each stop, the staff gave us a deeper dive into the history of the property and their specific wines. Lunch was provided at the second vineyard, which was perfectly timed. Plus, the bus was well-stocked with plenty of water to keep everyone hydrated throughout the day.

5.00We had an absolutely amazing day. Don't go to San Francisco without visiting Napa Valley wine region. Value for money. Beautiful scenery and vineyards. Stop off in Sonoma for lunch. Fantastic tour guide Ron. Stopped off on route at viewing point for Golden Gate Bridge and managed to squeeze in an extra two wineries. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Very knowledgeable about the tour/areas/wineries. If you are thinking of booking, ask for Ron.

5.00This was a great experience. Linda was our tour guide, very friendly and provided us with a great playlist. There was a whole bus singalong on the way back. Fun group. The wineries were perfect, they provided an interesting, informative tour with generous pours of wine. Loved that we got to go to our favorite Bread and Butter. Highly recommend.

5.00I had a great experience on this wine tasting tour. I was traveling solo for my birthday, and I felt welcome amongst friends. The three wineries we toured were amazing and I would definitely do this tour again when in Napa.
