This section is great for beginners or the experienced rafter with over 20 continuous class III & IV rapids. With plenty of places to surf and play, you’ll see why thousands of folks return year after year to raft this classic 5-mile run. Starting just below the Ocoee Dam No. 2, you’ll encounter your first big rapid, Grumpy’s, then its on to Broken Nose, Roller Coaster, Table Saw, Hell’s Hole and many more. Top that all off with a great place to swim about half way down and you’ll certainly become “one” with the river. Our wonderful river guides will help make your adventure one to remember. Must be 12 years and older.

After a brief orientation, you'll board our bus for a ride into the Cherokee National Forest with views of Lake Ocoee and the river on your ride to the Ocoee River. Your Middle Ocoee adventure will begin at the Ocoee #1 Dam where your guide will go through a complete safety orientation with practice time before getting on the river. The Middle Ocoee River is 5 miles of class III/IV whitewater, featuring 17 major rapids and is 90% whitewater giving you miles of big waves, action and fun. As you descend the river gorge you'll be immersed in the beauty of the Cherokee National Forest. Your smiles and laughter will get bigger with each rapid as your confidence builds. This is the perfect bonding trip for family, friends and groups alike. No experience necessary! At the end of your river adventure, the bus will bring you back to the outpost where you'll get a chance to look at photos from your trip and change back into dry clothes. Minimum age to participate is 12 years of age.

5.00Wow! Amazing experience! I cannot recommend this Cherokee Rafting more highly. Booking tickets and signing waivers was the most efficient online experience. Our guide, Cherokee, was not only an expert rafter and was able to get a bunch of novices down the river safely, but he also made the entire experience a ton of fun with an amazing sense of humor, tips for other things to do in and around the Ocoee River, and he played the harmonica! And, you can get photos of your rafting trip, which is a great keepsake! Our kids ages 12 & 14 said it "was the best day ever!" We visit friends in the Chattanooga area from time to time and Cherokee Rafting will be on my list of things to do in Chattanooga. I cannot wait to try another Cherokee Rafting adventure the next time I visit! Until next time!

5.00We had the best time with our guide, Hunter. He provided the exact experience we were hoping for, thrills with safety. His knowledge of maneuvering the river and leading us provided lots of adrenaline, while also inspiring confidence in his ability to keep us safe. Our group ranged from a 15 year old thrill seeker - 54 year old worrier and we all agreed that this was the best trip ever!

5.00We had a wonderfully organized rafting tour and an incredible amount of fun. We were very lucky to have only four people in the raft plus our guide, Chad. Chad guided us perfectly through the rapids and made the whole experience unforgettable. It was a perfect day from start to finish. Many thanks to Chad and the entire team for an amazing adventure!

5.00We had an amazing experience white water rafting! Our guide, Dan, was absolutely fantastic. He was knowledgeable, professional, fun, and made everyone feel safe and confident on the river. His sense of humor and expertise made the trip even more memorable. We had an incredible time and would highly recommend this adventure—especially if you’re lucky enough to get Dan as your guide!

5.00Cherokee Rafting was extremely professional and such a great experience! There were tons of activities while we waited for our tour. Josh Hogan was the best guide out there! He is one of the calmer guides, but added humor and throughout the ride and was extremely personable. His experience was apparent and he even took the time to make recommendations for the area. I would give 6 stars if possible, highly recommend!

5.00We had the pleasure of having Hunter and Dan as our guides this past weekend and we had incredible time, from the start to the finish line hunter kept us laughing pushed for loads of fun and kept even a younger one feeling safe the entire time. We got ice cream and played volleyball before the rapids and afterwards was able to purchase all of our pictures and of course some merch.. matching shirts!!! What an excellent experience!!
