This will be our first wine stop in Mâconnais, the only wine produced here is white wine, depending on your centers of interest, we'll either visit a wine producer, a winery or just open a bottle in the vineyards
La Roche de Solutre
This small hill was used by prehistorical natives to hunt up to the top where they'd force wild animals off the cliff. It is also an iconic remembrance place of the french resistance, depending on your interest and physical condition, we can hike to the top, it's an easy 30min walk.

5.00Benoit was amazing. Every detail and every request managed flawlessly. The tour was informative but not stuffy. Benoit is so pleasant to be with and knowledgeable. The vineyards visited were a nice mix but all were special in their own way. At most you were hosted by the owner or winemaker. Lunch was amazing at the Restaurant Le coq depuis 1923

5.00We had a wonderful day with Thomas and Al. They showed us a variety of spots throughout Beaujolais including wine, spirits, and beer. We were a group of 10 who throughly enjoyed this tour. The lunch spot was perfect as well and provided several options to accommodate vegetarians, pescatarians, and regular omnivores. The hosts were great and were able to make for a very entertaining and enjoyable day.

5.00My husband and I celebrated our honeymoon in Lyon with a full-day Beaujolais wine tour through Insiders, guided by the wonderful Mélanie. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. Thomas, one of the co-founders, took time to understand what we hoped to see and do, and Mélanie ensured everything went smoothly—from booking our train tickets to navigating stunning wine country and enjoying delicious local meals. We asked for 3–4 winery visits and a scenic picnic, and Insiders delivered that and more. Mélanie brought us to a charming bed and breakfast with breathtaking views, where we already plan to return for a future stay. Each winery was small, family-owned, and unique, offering an intimate and authentic look at Beaujolais winemaking. We learned so much from the winemakers, and every stop felt personal rather than touristy. We also were able to eat grapes straight off the vine, which was so much fun and tasty! We can’t recommend this tour enough. It was one of the highlights of our honeymoon, and we look forward to coming back to the places Insiders introduced us to!

I had the absolute pleasure of joining a half-day Beaujolais wine tour with France Insiders, hosted by Thomas, and it was nothing short of unforgettable. From start to finish, the experience was seamless, personal, and full of charm, laughter and the best experience. Thomas crafted a custom itinerary that perfectly blended breathtaking scenery, fascinating history, and truly exceptional wines. His knowledge and passion for the Beaujolais region shone through at every stop — not just about the vineyards and winemaking, but also the culture, the food, and the people who make this part of France so special. We came from Australia and Thomas managed to connect me with another Australian at a local vineyard it was truly next level care and consideration. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged, making the entire tour feel relaxed yet rich with discovery. We tasted wines I would have never found on my own, and I came away not only with new favorites but with a much deeper appreciation for the region, and new friends for life. You aren’t just getting a tour guide, you’re gaining a long lost friend. My only regret? Booking the half-day instead of the full day! The time flew by far too quickly, and I could have happily spent the entire day soaking in the beauty and insights Thomas provided. This was one of the highlights of my trip to France, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. If you’re considering a wine tour in Beaujolais, look no further — book with France Insiders and ask for Thomas. You’ll come away with memories (and wines!) to treasure forever.

5.00Great Beaujolais experience with Mélanie our guide and Aldric who drove us from Lyon. The guides were friendly, knowledgeable about the area, and took us to two great wineries with hospitable winemakers (who shared excellent wines with us). We also visited a historic church and an overlook which had views of most of cru Beaujolais. And that was just the half-day tour! Would highly recommend.

5.00We had the most fun day of our vacation. Aldric from Insiders was a great host. He picked us up in his range rover and the fun began. Visited winery and tasting to start the day. Off road to a beautiful garden location where we were served more wine! cheese and bread. His knowledge of the area and his pleasant company made this a day to remember. i highly recommend this excursion on your own or from the long ship Uniworld.

5.00Rick and Thomas were both amazing! Friendly, knowledgeable and made sure we had the most perfect of days! The vintage land rovers were so much fun. The lunch location and food that was prepared by Rick and Thomas was amazing The wineries they chose for us to visit were also great choices. Highly recommend this tour group to everyone! We also used Insiders to get to the train station on our last day. Rick showed up at 6:00am with 3 cars and men to assist our Group. They made sure we were in the correct location, escorted up the elevators and made sure we knew where to go once our gate was announced!! We spent 2 weeks in France and took many day trips and this one is far above any of the others. Great fun.

5.00A perfectly organized day, tailor-made for 2, with attention to detail that really made the difference. Amélie, our guide, was exceptional: passionate, warm and full of captivating stories about the region and the terroir. Each stop was unique — the visit to the castle, the wine tastings, the meeting with the beekeeper (very rewarding moment!) — everything was both authentic and exciting. Lunch in the heart of nature was a real favorite, in a beautiful setting, and all embellished with a 2CV ride! This retro, atypical and romantic side brought an extra touch of charm to the day. A huge thank you for this unforgettable experience. I recommend closed eyes to all those looking for an off the beaten track getaway, personalized and full of discoveries!
