Our private trip to Florence will start at the SMN Florence station or from your centrally located hotel. We will walk to the central Piazza del Duomo. We’ll marvel at the majestic Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, a masterpiece of the Italian Renaissance. We will contemplate the superb tower of the Campanile di Giotto and the Battistero di San Giovanni with its famous Gates of Paradise. At the foot of the Palazzo Vecchio, the municipal seat. Next, to the palazzo, we will see a replica of David: the famous sculpture by Michelangelo Buonarroti. We will cross the Arno River through the emblematic Ponte Vecchio and reach the Palazzo Pitti. Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore
Florence Cathedral, formally the Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore, is the cathedral of Florence, Italy. It was begun in 1296 in the Gothic style to a design of Arnolfo di Cambio and was structurally completed by 1436, with the dome designed by Filippo Brunelleschi.
Ponte Vecchio
The Ponte Vecchio is a medieval stone closed-spandrel segmental arch bridge over the Arno River, in Florence, Italy, noted for still having shops built along it, as was once common. Butchers initially occupied the shops; the present tenants are jewelers, art dealers and souvenir sellers.
