Stop by the Montijo Building, once home to a furniture store with a chilling sideline in coffins and embalming. Pause outside The Fluxx Nightclub, where the music and lights conceal one of the Gaslamp’s darkest histories. Then, uncover the eerie legends of the Horton Grand Hotel, a Victorian masterpiece said to still host a guest who never truly checked out.

5.00Mina was the best tour guide! She’s a great orator and had a ton of knowledge about the city even beyond the creepy stuff. My in-laws came into town so we wanted to be tourists for the day, and I have to say as a local I learned a lot.
