The reason the houses in Amsterdam are tilted is because of the soil. The city is built on marshlands, which means that everything heavy sinks right into the soil. Therefore, we started to build upon wooden poles to reach a deeper and more sturdy layer of soil that could support the heavy houses.

5.00Leon and captain Bas were great fun and super knowledgable, friendly and not in your face like some tour guides can be. Also very accommodating with the unlimited drinks package (great value for this upgrade)

4.00Ana & Jorge were very entertaining and Davian was an excellent pilot. The wine flowed, the cheese was small, the beer was warm. The 7 bridges were pointed out BUT...the rest of the itinerary?? If we went past the Rijksmuseum, Anne Frank's house, Westerkerk, Magere Brug and the Munt Tower??? Any of those places? Not a word was said. I thought The Point was to familiarize us with the city from the water - if that is Your expectation also? Not so much. But Nice Boat Ride.
