Angkor Wat

We begin with a pre-dawn departure (4.30 to 4.40 am depending on the time of year) from your hotel for sunrise outside Angkor Wat. Enter the great temple in darkness from the little-visited eastern side, and creep along hoary cloistered corridors past the longest stretch of bas-relief carvings in the world. Soak up the atmosphere of dawn at Angkor Wat, from the edge of one of the ancient library pools. We then explore the interior of the great temple, spending a thorough two hours discovering the corridors, central chambers and upper terraces of this truly great temple. Your expert local guide will decipher the myriad of stories behind the bas-relief carvings, and give you an insight into life during the height of the Khmer empire. We end our tour at Angkor with breakfast outside the temple (take away, from your hotel), and a short rest.

Angkor Wat at sunrise is very impressive. We were picked up from the hotel and taken back. Air-conditioned bus. Drinks available. The cooling towels were very good. Overall, it was a fantastic trip. The guide is highly recommended.

What an absolutely amazing experience and a fun and knowledgeable guide. It was very humbling to see and touch something 900 years old… my guide was amazing taking photographs for me so that I don’t only have selfies to show for it… I could not recommend this tour any more highly

I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Journey Cambodia. From the moment I was picked up, both Sok Chea and Sambath made me feel welcome and well taken care of. Sok Chea is a remarkable guide. He was patient, knowledgeable and took the time to explain the history and deeper meaning behind everything we visited. He brought the temples and Cambodia’s story to life in a way I would never have experienced on my own. Sambath was equally impressive. Always smiling, proactive with water and cold towels, and genuinely friendly throughout the day. The whole experience exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Journey Cambodia and this tour to anyone visiting Siem Reap. Do yourself a favor and book with them directly.

TRULY HAD AN AMAZING TIME. Bun was an awesome tour guide. Her was so calm, clear, and knowledgeable. Vichit was also a great driver. He was always ready for us with cold waters and cool towels :) We were with a small group of 5 (2 of us plus 3 more) and we had lots of fun learning exploring and getting to know each other. The temples were stunning and it was truly a one and a lifetime experience. I couldn't recommend Bun and Vichit enough!!

Pal was very knowledgeable and friendly. Dara, our driver, was always waiting with a cold towel and icey water after each temple. They were both so friendly and happy to go at the speed we wanted. The temples were all stunning and we had a wonderful time, highly recommend:-)

I’m a solo traveler and booked the sunrise tour with Journey Cambodia, and it was one of the best experiences of my trip to Cambodia. Everything was very well organized from start to finish. Watching the sunrise at Angkor Wat was absolutely unforgettable. My guide, Mr. Pal Saroun, was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about Cambodian history and culture. He explained every temple in detail and made the whole tour interesting and enjoyable. I learned so much during the trip, and he also helped take great photos along the way. A big thanks as well to our driver, Mr. Dara, who was very professional and kind. He always welcomed us back with cold water and a cool vehicle after each stop, which was greatly appreciated in the hot weather. The whole experience felt comfortable, fun, and personal. I highly recommend Journey Cambodia to anyone visiting Siem Reap and wanting an amazing sunrise tour experience. Thank you again for such a memorable day!

What a wonderful sunrise tour. Started with a prompt collection in a lovely air conditioned bus driven by Dara who constantly supplied us with bottles of ice cold water and cold cloths. Sac was our first guide and he was super knowledgable and shared his childhood lifestyle with us ❤️ Angkor Wat was everything and more . Just beautiful and Sac got us to the most perfect spot to watch the sunrise. Sadly he had to leave us and get your guide swiftly replaced him with Sarudn who was equally as knowledgeable and friendly. We saw a few temples and loved the stories that came with the tour. Well worth the visit The feeling of calm, kindness and gentleness all the way through is what struck us immensely. Beautiful people

Sok Chea was an amazing tour guide!!! We had the best time, super informative and fun. We were looked after and given space to explore in our own time. Amazing photos from today and Sok Chea is a great photographer!!
