4.00The experience was "breathtaking" and I enjoyed the company of the other travelers. Eddy, one of the associates of the pilot, was very friendly. The pilot should have told me that I would get "soot" on my clothing from standing near him or under the area where the "gas" igniter is. If he had, then this would have been a better review. It spoiled my adventure. My suggestion is that he warn his customers of this possibility or provide some type of covering so that their clothes will not have "black stains" on them after the ride. (I thought that my fear of heights would be the problem but it wasn't...it was my appearance after the ride when I still had other places to visit during my stay. Thank goodness that it was able to be laundered out of my clothing and that we had a washing machine in our room.)

5.00We had amazing time for our first balloon ride. Rusty was excellent leader and our pilot had us totally at ease. The entire staff was welcoming and made big deal about any special occasions. We also had great conditions, so the views were spectacular!

5.00The ride is peaceful and the employees are astute and understanding! We stayed at the Pechanga casino. In doing so I stayed up and gambled all night. Yes the pechanga is less than 20 minutes away from the bolero winery. However mind you I woke up 5 minutes after the balloon was scheduled to depart and they still waited for me. They are the reason I made the ride! Had they not taken the time or the extra mile to call me I would have missed the flight. Also my balloon pilot was quite knowledgeable on every aspect of the hot air balloon. Whether it was testing his 37 years of piloting experience or even the history of “The Hot Air Balloon.” Also one pilot to another, “flying a hot air balloon doesn’t make you a pilot! Finding freedom in the wind/ air is when you know you are a pilot!

Cancelled tour without prior advice

1.00I understand that this may be cancel for safety reasons & weather conditions but to inform you on the spot or like waited till 6 to inform you is unreasonable. I live in LA, my friend and I drove to Temecula at 3am just to be there on time. Waited and got cancelled. There is a weather forecast for 2 weeks how is it not possible to just inform the client atleast a night before like to advice that there might be a chance of cancellation for this package because of the weather, so atleast the customer can decide to go or not. With all the prices increasing now especially the gas?! For the gas alone we spent $70 for nothing plus other expenses there like for food.. which could have been avoided if there was an advice prior to the date.
