Our tours are owner operated, meaning the owners are also the guides out there on tour with you! Each guide is a long-time local, bringing a wealth of knowledge and insider tips.
Our tours strive to provide an all inclusive experience: seamless pick-up and drop-off, hot drinks to enjoy while watching the sunrise, homemade baked goods made by your guides, blankets and umbrellas for comfort & a maximum of 12 guests to ensure everyone has space.
We love and respect Banff National Park and we use our tours as an opportunity to teach visitors about the parks' history and ways we can continue to protect it while enjoying it's beauty for many more years. Ask us any questions and we will do our best to answer!
By traveling with us, you'll be let in on some tips and tricks that can't be learned through google or conventional shuttles. It's not just a tour, it's an adventure.

Moraine Lake
Our tour begins at the stunning, glacial Moraine Lake where you will spend two hours watching the sun rise over the Valley of the Ten Peaks. We arrive 45 minutes before sunrise to beat the busses and ensure you get the most scenic views to watch the sun rise onto the peaks. Your knowledgeable guide will direct you to the best photo places & hiking spots while making sure you are kept cozy and comfortable with complimentary hot drinks, homemade snacks, blankets, umbrellas and headlamps. Your guide will introduce you to the history of the area while remaining nearby should you have any questions, need to warm up or want to take a break.
Lake Louise
The next stop on our tour is the world famous Lake Louise, where you will have another two hours to explore, hike, canoe or visit the famous Fairmont Lake Louise. Your guide will walk you through the history of the lake and what makes it so special for both locals and visitors. Lake Louise is the most photographed lake in the world for a reason!

5.00This sunrise tour to Moraine Lake was an absolutely incredible experience! We arrived before sunrise and watched the mountains slowly come to life as the sun rose over the peaks. We got lucky with a perfectly clear morning, which made the colours of the lake and surrounding landscape even more stunning. Our guide, Kayla, was fantastic and helped us find the best viewpoints for photos, making sure we didn’t miss any of the iconic shots. She also provided hot coffee and fresh-baked banana bread. On the drive to Lake Louise, we saw a grizzly bear from a safe distance, which made the experience feel even more special. Arriving at Lake Louise earlier in the morning made it way less busy and we also got some amazing pictures there. Overall, it was an early wake-up call that was completely worth it for a once-in-a-lifetime morning in the Rockies.

5.00This was such an incredible and magical experience! Riley and Kayla made our time in Banff so easy, fun, and memorable for our family of 11. We had a wide range of ages—from 6 to 85—and they did an amazing job making sure everyone could enjoy the day. We visited Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, and Lake Minnewanka, and loved that there were multiple viewpoints at many of the stops with optional short hikes of varying difficulty. It gave our group the flexibility to split up for a bit depending on ability and interests, while still easily meeting back together. We did an afternoon tour with Kayla followed by a morning tour with Riley the next day, and it was such a treat getting to know both of them. Their knowledge of the area, relaxed personalities, and genuine passion for what they do made the experience feel so much more personal than a typical tour. They never made us feel rushed and were happy to answer every question, share local recommendations, and point out details we would have completely missed on our own. The homemade banana bread was the perfect touch and made the whole experience feel even more welcoming and thoughtful. It’s little things like that that set this company apart. If you’re looking for a tour that feels personal, well-organized, and truly unforgettable, I can’t recommend Riley and Kayla enough. They helped create some of our favorite memories from Banff, and we’re so grateful we chose to explore with them

5.00I don't often leave reviews. I like reading them but I never felt compelled to leave one, until now! I was very excited to visit Banff. I'm not a world traveler and I can get lost very easily. I didn't want the stress of driving somewhere unfamiliar, looking for parking etc. Banff Alpenglow Adventures took care of everything for me! Booking on line was a breeze. Kayla answered all of my questions and worked with me to plan a full day of adventure. We started early with a sunrise tour at Moraine Lake. I was treated to hot tea and warm, delicious homemade banana bread. I settled in the big comfy seats and enjoyed the ride to the lake. These majestic mountains are one of the world's most wonderful creations. Being able to sit back and enjoy the view is worth every penny. Kayla, our guide was super friendly and such a pleasure to be around. She is very knowledgeable about all the different spots in Banff. You will definitely learn something new. I share my name with one of the mountains! How cool is that? I want to give Kayla and Banff Alpenglow Adventures the recognition they deserve and I highly recommend them for your next adventure! You won't be disappointed.

5.00My mom and I loved our sunrise tour with Alpenglow (what a beautiful word!). Communication beforehand was quick and helpful and we felt at ease immediately upon meeting Kayla and her lovely mother. She provided blankets and drinks and took us to a lesser-known spot to view the sunrise at Moraine Lake, unimpeded by trees, just the full vista for us to drink in. The snack of homemade banana bread that accompanied our drive to Lake Louise was delicious and much appreciated, a sweet bonus to an already wonderful tour. Kayla also provided a lot of helpful tips for the rest of our trip, and when she found out our tour to the Icefields the following day had been cancelled, she went out of her way to find an alternative for us. I couldn't have asked for a better start to our trip, and I would absolutely recommend this gem of a tour company.

5.00Such a fun experience! Brandon hosted us for our private tour and created an itinerary based off our desires. He was fun, knowledgeable, and respectful. We really enjoyed our time with him and highly recommend Banff Alpenglow to those looking for a more intimate lake Louise/moraine lake experience!

5.00I booked this on a referral from people we met on a Banff excursion. Their website specifies Canmore & Banff pickups but they were willing to pick us up in Lake Louise since that is where we were going to be already for the date we had available. Booked with only 2 days notice & they gave us a discount due to the referral. Our guide, Riley, was right on time at every stop. Between blankets, reusable cups for coffee & hot cocoa and his own homemade banana bread (surprise!), we were very well taken care of. Couldn’t have been a nicer outing.
