Manjanggul Cave (Lava tube )is closed on the first Wednesday of every month.
The tour departs from any location on Jeju Island other than the designated pick-up area.
The Manjanggul Lava Tube has reopened. It is a 1km-long flat underground cave that takes about an hour round trip. The interior is very cold and dark, so you can view it by walking slowly.
If you are traveling with less than 13 people and are not accompanied by a licensed guide, a taxi service with simple English will be provided.

Jeongbang Waterfall
This is the representative waterfall of Jeju Island. It is the only waterfall in Asia that falls from land to the sea. It is a place where you can dip your feet in the water. Seobulgwacha" was written in Chinese characters on the rock wall of Jeongjang Falls.There was a legend that Jin Si-hwang's envoy came to Yeongju Mountain (now Hallasan Mountain) in Jeju Island to find "Bulocho" and took turns engraving words on the rock wall, but the rock was broken due to the typhoon.Jeongbang Falls has many rocks, so you have to walk very carefully under your feet Also, it is easy to go down the stairs, but it is very hard to go up around. It is the only natural waterfall in Asia that falls into the sea, and when there are many photographs and rainbows, it creates even more beautiful scenery
Manjanggul lava tube information Manjanggul Cave is a natural cave formed approximately 100,000 to 300,000 years ago by lava flowing from Geomun Oreum, one of the small mountains in Jeju, along the surface. It is the core of the Geomun Oreum Lava Cave System, which was designated as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site in 2007. The general exploration section extends about 1 km inward from the Second Entrance. The main passage, measuring 18 meters in width and 23 meters in height, evokes a sense of openness that makes one forget it is an underground space. At the end of the section stands a 7.6-meter-tall lava column, the symbol of this cave. Formed by the lava flowing from the ceiling and solidified lava on the floor coming into contact to form a single column, it is the largest lava column known to date in the world. Manjanggul Lava Cave is approximately 7.4 km long and features a multi-layered structure in some parts.

5.00We had a morning and afternoon guide, both were very good. We were able to customize our stops including a visit to traditional houses. Both guides took many photos for us which was greatly appreciated. This was so much better than just renting car. Recommend!

5.00We had a wonderful trip with Bruce our driver & guide. He spoke very good English and gave us great explanations of the sights that we went to. He was very knowledgeable, kind, caring and good company throughout the day. It was a wet start to the day so he kindly rearranged the itinerary to suit the weather. We would definitely recommend this tour it was varied and very interesting. 👍

5.00We had a great experience on this tour. We could decide where to go and there was no rush unlike bus tours. We had enough time to explore the places we visited. John, our guide and driver was excellent and he also recommended great local restaurants to have our lunch.

1.00The driver was very attentive with a car in very good condition. However, he is not a guide.. You get the same service, but much cheaper, by hiring a taxi.

5.00Mr. Han was very efficient with a plan in place for our day. He was accommodating with the rain we had in the morning and with the cancellation of the Hannyeo diver show due to high waves and took us to the museum instead. He was very experienced at getting a lot of great photographs for us also. Thank you Mr. Han for your patience, efficiency and kindness. We had a wonderful day!

5.00We had a fantastic trip with Mr Kim. Although he spoke limited English he gave us a lot of information through use of AI and followed us during the tour using AI translation when necessary. The sights we saw were so scenic and beautiful this was more than enough. He made the trip for us by making suggestions of where to take photos. He knew the best spots to stand and see the women divers, so we had an advantage over other tourists. There’s was so much to see during the day and he made sure we kept on track time wise. There were quite a few of us and we all had different experiences with our guides but we all were very happy that we went on this tour. We’ve done a few tours whilst being in South Korea and this was one of the best tours of our holiday. Ask for Mr Kim (there were 2 but both were fabulous)!

5.00Mr.Lee was very kind, professional and helped us make the best of our very short time in Jeju. We only had a few hours and were able to see some beautiful places, even though it was raining (springtime). We requested lunch as part of our tour and he took us to an Amazing Korean bbq restaurant that made my korean food loving heart and stomach very happy. Would definitely recommend and do it again if we find ourselves in Jeju in the future. Thank you!
