The Mogollon Rim helicopter tour spans 3 wilderness areas that are extremely hard to get to any other way. We start out from the Sedona Airport for immediate, amazing views, right as we take off! We then fly around Sedona showing off the famous rock formations before heading deep into the canyons to show off the ancient ruins. Our route includes the Sycamore Canyon, Secret Mountain, and Munds Mountain wilderness areas where you will have the opportunity to see all of the ancient ruins included in the shorter tours plus many more! Our pilots are trained by the most experienced in the area and know where ruins are that have been lost for centuries! This tour covers everything all of our other tours cover so if you want it all, this is it!

This was our third ride with Apex, and it was every bit as thrilling as our first. Captain Steve was an excellent guide and pilot. Tali made sure we all knew what to expect and was very kind. And Sedona did what Sedona does: inspired and awed us with her beauty. A must- have experience!
Better than a ballon tide

This was an amazing tour with our pilot Steve and loader Connor. We had originally planned a balloon ride that was cancelled twice and it was actually to our benefit. The helicopter tour was informative and fun. Went thru the 2nd largest canyon in Arizona, Sycamore along with several other canyons and saw things so much closer than a balloon ride would have been. Also spotted some elk in a couple sightings .

The tour was beautiful beyond words. We got to see areas we could not have accessed otherwise. The beautiful scenery brought tears to my eyes. Our pilot Steve was amazing at maneuvering to ensure we saw many landmarks including ruins we had not known existed in the Sycamore canyon.

Wow, what a fabulous trip. Captain Steve and Connor did a super job giving us memories. Steve narrated the journey giving us the best angle for pictures and sharing some of his knowledge of the canyons. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Best helicopter experience ever! If there is any way you can mange it do the Mogollon Rim trip. Steve the pilot was excellent and we felt safe and secure. Get up close and personal with canyons, cave dwellings, mountain sides and more. Fantastic way to get a birds eye view of the surrounding Sedona area - even more fun if you have explored some of it on the ground already.

This was a thrilling experience like no other I have ever had and one that simply should not be missed in Sedona. There is no better way to see and experience the magnificent landscape, and beauty of the ancient cliff dwellings. We learned about its history and geological brilliance through a knowledgeable and experienced pilot, who at all times made us feel comfortable, welcomed and safe. The Apex team is professional, fun and friendly and should be your first choice for guiding you through the adventure of a lifetime!

We did the hour tour and our pilot really seemed to have the coolest experience nailed down. The fly over was amazing but the chance to fly through was a whole other level. Would recommend to anyone.

This is by far one of the most amazing experiences I have ever experienced! There were moments when I was truly overcome by the views! I was awed and humbled! Our pilot was very competent, experienced and calm. We felt immediately at ease! He shared his knowledge and joy of the area which made the experience personal! We saw areas that we realized so many individuals would never see. I would highly recommend taking this tour. It was worth every cent! The pictures we took were amazing! However, the memories we have of all the breath taking sites will remain with us for eternity.
You don't see it all til you've taken the whole rim tour!

So glad we took the Mogollon Rim Tour. We didn't just see the red rock formations and other geological features, we were in them! Our excellent pilot took us into canyons and close enough to cliffs to see ancient. Throughout the flight our pilot guide held our interest with fascinating history and lore and took one all questions. I would urge any visitor planning an aerial tour to seriously consider Apex Air, for their variety of tours, safety record, specialized helicopters, plus skilled, knowledgeable, well experienced pilots.
