Join us for a traditional Finnish evening at our lakeside home. We look forward to hosting you! We will pick you up in one of our eco-friendly classic cars for a 40-minute drive through the countryside to your home. Your experience begins with age-old ritual of preparing the wood-heated sauna. While the sauna heats up, we will prepare a three-course dinner together. You can learn some local culinary tips as we cook the menu you've selected in advance (Sauteéd Reindeer, Smoked Salmon, or vegan 'Meatless Meatballs' - lactose and gluten free available). After dinner, we provide towels and bathrobes, and you can change into your swimsuits in a private dressing room. And then it's time for the refreshing sauna and swim in the lake. This simple and relaxing tradition is core to our culture, and our happiness. Once the evening is over, a pre-arranged taxi will drive you back to your accommodation. As this is our private home, the atmosphere is authentic and relaxed - a unique experience you won't find in a hotel. You only need to bring your swimsuit, we provide the rest, so you can focus on being our guest and enjoying your Happy Finland Experience. See you soon!

Traditional Finnish Pickles
A selection of seasonal delicacies. You will taste picked cucumbers with honey, and rye bread with pickled herring (the ultimate Finnish test!).

Option 1 - Sautéed Reindeer, Potato Mash and Lingonberries
We’ll make this iconic dish together by sautéing the reindeer and preparing the mash and lingonberries. Not to worry, this is not Santa's Rudolf!

Option 2 - Smoked Salmon, Potato Mash and Dill Sauce
You will help us smoke the fresh salmon right here at the home. We’ll serve it with a cold lemon-and-dill sauce, potato mash, and rye bread.

Option 3 - 'Meatless Meatballs', Potato Mash and Onion
A plant-based take on our childhood favorite. These pea-protein meatballs are served with mashed potatoes, caramelized onions, and plenty of mustard.

We finish with selection of ice cream topped with Finnish berries. And you'll get to taste some of the treats - like the salty liquorice, if you dare!

5.00Very Interesting cultural informative tour. Hosts are very polite hospitable kind warm couple. The food was fantastic they try to do their best for guests . Every detail was taken into account. The car ride and the greetings was fantastic . The nature and lake was wonderful. Everything was very nice. and clean. The tour is underpriced for the emotions that we had gotten. Sauna and lake swimming was healthy and fresh.

5.00Beautiful place, and a breathtaking lake scenery. We enjoyed the lake by a float with electric engine, and enjoyed snacks. Sauna was marvellous and went swimming for many times. Afterwards we were served with delicious Finnish food. Really enjoyed and want definitely to go back!

5.00Love it ❤️ In the sauna, you can enjoy an authentic Finnish sauna experience. The wood-burning stove gives soft, gentle steam, and the window offers a beautiful view to the lake. A refreshing swim in the lake completes the experience. Here, both mind and soul can truly rest. Tiia and Antti are both genuine friendly hosts, who can cook and make guests feel warmly welcomed. Love to go back soon!

5.00It was my first time in Finland and I have to admit that the experience was amazing. Tiia and her husband were extremely kind and servicial. coming from the tropic (Costa Rica) we have no idea about Finland culture and experience on Saunas and cold lake water but Tiia convinced me to try and it was so pleasant and such an experience getting into the lake at night after the sauna. The food was delicious (Wild Dear) with potatoes and a delicious salad with bread. All cooked in front of me. The sight seeing is espectacular, the lake is beautiful and every picture I took could be a postal ! The night before I arrive to this place there were boreal auroras (another amazing experience) that if you are lucky, you can see them from their place in front of the lake. I am looking forward to repeat the experience.

5.00We had truly amazing time with Tiia and Antti. The sauna is almost "on" the lake and we went back and forth swim in the lake and back to sauna. The whole evening was such enjoyable time.

5.00My family and I had a wonderful afternoon/ evening with the lovely Tiia and Anti. Their hospitality was amazing! They showed us how to prepare reindeer on their outside grill (whilst our boys were entertained chasing the robot lawnmower!) and we enjoyed it with locally picked lingonberries. We had never eaten reindeer before - Delicious! After dinner we headed for the sauna. Our youngest son (6 years) didn’t fancy it, so they kindly set him up with a film on their projector (which he loved) whilst the rest of us enjoyed cool drinks, sauna, and jumping in the lake. It was a fabulous start to our Finnish holiday. Tiia and Anti were so lovely… really great to chat with about life in Finland… and so so hospitable. We couldn’t recommend it more ❤️

5.00Absolutely wonderful place! The incredibly friendly and welcoming hosts made our stay unforgettable. The food was truly delicious, and the lake scenery was breathtaking. As a bonus, we got to enjoy a delightful raft ride on the lake. This is an experience you simply can't find anywhere else!

5.00Such a fantastic experience!! Had a fun night with friends at Tiia’s place. The food was incredible and they even brought special local greens from the forest! We had a hot sauna time and jumped into the lake for a true experience. I want to come back to try it in the winter sometime too. I learned so much about Finnish culture and felt so at home. You must try it too!
