Do Eat Better Experience Amsterdam Food Tour is a walking tour in small groups through the charming streets of the city. Led by a Local Expert, you'll explore iconic eateries and hidden gems while learning about their history, unique preparations, and cultural significance.
This tour is a perfect blend of authentic Dutch flavors and a relaxed walking experience with a local friend. Enjoy a full meal across at least four stops, tasting some of the most traditional Dutch dishes: rich and creamy cheeses, crispy Patatje Oorlog, fresh herring, savory beef croquettes, or the famous stroopwafels. And, of course, no Dutch food experience is complete without pairing it with a local beer!

The Flower Market in Amsterdam is a floating market on the Singel canal, famous for its vibrant stalls selling flowers, bulbs, and souvenirs. It’s a colorful and iconic spot in the city. Great Food and Culture tour with Todd

5.00We had an incredible food tour in Amsterdam with our guide, Todd, who is originally from Wisconsin and has lived in the city for 13 years. His deep knowledge of both Dutch culture and American perspective made the experience especially engaging and easy to understand. Our tour began with a walk through the vibrant flower market, followed by a stop at Henri Willig for some outstanding cheese. From there, we sampled a classic Dutch specialty—herring—which Todd explained in a way that made it approachable even for first-timers. We also enjoyed traditional Dutch fries with a variety of sauces, which were absolutely delicious. One of the highlights was Melly’s Stroopwafels, served warm right out of the oven—easily a favorite moment of the tour. We wrapped up the experience at a cozy local pub, which was the perfect ending. Throughout the tour, Todd pointed out key landmarks, shared fascinating insights, and patiently answered all of our questions. He also made sure to stop frequently for photos, which we really appreciated. His ability to interpret cultural nuances from a fellow American perspective made everything more meaningful and easy to follow. I would highly recommend this food tour with Todd—it was a perfect blend of great food, local history, and excellent company.

5.00Todd was exceptional as a tour guide. We enjoyed each of our meal stops. The cheese, herring, Melly’s StroopWafels, fries with sauce and lunch were all outstanding. Great value for the money. Todd was so informative with knowledge of Amsterdam and the heritage.

5.00Irina was incredible! She was so fun and knowledgeable and nice! We love food and Irina took us to interesting little places to try local cuisine. So delicious and things we would have never thought to try on our own. An experience I will never forget! I can’t recommend the tour and/or Irene enough.
