  An excellent day trip to experience the Douro Valley; beautiful scenery, relaxing boat trip, exceptional wine tasting with education, and a big lunch with matching wines. Our guide Nuno was wonderful and very attentive and shared a host of knowledge on Portugal’s history and the Douro wine region, and was happy to answer any questions on other topics. A great day!

  The experience was very good. The guide very friendly and with great knowledge. Very attentive. The tour was purchased with the Portuguese language, but the guide when realizing that there were English-language tourists asked to speak in both languages

  This is the best day tour I have been on. Nono, the driver, was exceptional. He has a vast knowledge and love for Portugal and shares it. His language skills are exceptional. The wineries visited were top notch and the lunch was great with lots of wine.

  Joao was very knowledgeable and friendly. We learned so much about the Douro Valley and Porto. He was also a great driver on the windy roads. The wineries were small family owned properties and the wines we tasted were excellent. I would highly recommend this tour and Joao as a tour guide.

  Mafalda was an excellent guide and a terrific person. She made everyone feel comfortable, laugh, and her exuberance made the day fly by. I could not recommend her or this tour more highly.

  So happy we booked this tour! I had read about the Duoro river valley and winneries as a must do when visiting Porto. The country side is gorgeous and our guide (Emanuel) was very knowledgeable, talented and friendly - joking with us regularly! We learned about the history of the area, the bussinesses, drank delicious wine - port and had a fabulous lunch at a family winery tucked away in the mountains. I will never forget this experience and the friendly folks we met along the way. It was a great small tour - supporting small businesses! I was sad when we got dropped off at the end of the day.   Phenomenal and an extremely good value for the money. Our guide Carlos was kind, genuine, funny, generous and altogether just a great human being. When you look at what you get and the number of people involved to provide it, this thing is a steal. The excellent meal and the drinks alone would have cost more in a local restaurant. We enjoyed the incredible vistas, the producers on the farm, the kindness, the service and obviously the wines. We went 4 adults and all were very very pleased.

  We had Carlos as our guide and he was wonderful! So knowledgeable on the history of the area and funny. The food and wine were excellent. Would definitely recommend this tour!

  We booked this 2 days prior and got so lucky to have an amazing guide with Nuno Pires. It was a small group of 7 of us and we went to a family organic vineyard 1st, then a wonderful lunch under the trees and our guide arranged a special treat having them show us how a vintage port wine was opened using heat. Then a 50 min cruise up the Pinhao valley and a scenic drive down the N222. We had a fabulous day. Our guide Nuno was so informative with his Google brain and being a local kept up a running dialog of history and facts of the area. He was quick to answer questions so easy to talk to along with a ready smile. Don't miss doing this tour on your visit to Portugal

  A really great day, Nuno is a very good driver and told us a lot about Portugal, Porto, and the Douro region. Thank you very much, it was a very nice day with two very good wine tastings and good food.
