Our guides will welcome you in a familiar but professional way.
After a short briefing, you will board the kayaks and start your adventure. With an eye for the diverse fauna and flora of the Ria Formosa, you will peddle (easy level), in crystal clear water, to amazing islands, where you will discover fishermen's villages, lighthouses, natural Parc, amazing beaches and much more.

We will kayak on the Ria Formosa to either the island of Armona, Farol, or Fuseta. Along the way, our guide will point to different wildlife and tell you more about the Ria Formosa. Once in the island, you will discover all the points of interest, depending on your requests, with our experienced guides.

5.00A great guided tour of the area with Kurt and his trustee companion Spike the dog. Everything was as described and Kurt has a wealth of information about the natural (and Human) history of the reserve. The whole family enjoyed it, so we are very happy customers!

5.00I haven’t kayaked in years this was perfect. Provided with everything as stated. Was made even more enjoyable by a friendly puppy. I would recommend this anyone visiting and will defo be back.

5.00What a beautiful way to spend your 56th Birthday! To discover it is also the guides Birthday too was pretty amazing! Kurt and Spike the dog are great kayak companions, lots of knowledge, plenty of patience and happy to chat. I had a great 4 hours, couldn't have wished for better! Thank you, see you for my 57th!! X

5.00The guides at Roots Kayak were great, easy going and amiable. Equipment was clean and suitable for the task. We booked a morning tour of the Ria Formosa Lagoon. Our guide spent extra time pointing out flora and fauna of the area when learning we have an interest in bird watching. Midday we stopped for lunch before kayaking back to the starting point. The day was wonderful, one of our best during our time in Portugal. 100% would book this kayak tour again.
