Next, visit the 14th-century Batalha Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that illustrates the rich artistic heritage of the late 1300s. Discover the impressive royal burial site at the basilica’s Founder’s Chapel, where King João I, Queen Philippa of Lancaster and their son Prince Henry the Navigator were buried.
Praia da Nazare

Obidos Village
Finally, make your way to the medieval village of Óbidos. Founded in 208 BC, Óbidos is commonly known in Portugal as the 'wedding present town', as it was a gift from King Dinis to Queen Isabel on their wedding day in 1282. Follow your guide to one of the numerous wine shops and sample the Ginja liqueur, and then enjoy free time to explore the village’s medieval fortress, narrow streets, colorful houses and Gothic doorways and windows decorated with flowerpots and dazzling tiles. Grab a snack or browse around the tiny shops that offer a varied collection of beautiful handmade ceramic art before making your way back to Lisbon.

5.00I did the 2 day super-saver tour- great deal by the way! Day 1 with Phillipe to Sintra was amazing. He created a sense of community in our little group.Great sites…take the bus up the hill if you wind easily! Cabo de Roca is not to missed! Gorgeous seashore and cliffs. Day 2 with Javier to Fatima, Nazare, Obidos was again FANTASTIC! Again he created a sense of friendship between travelers from America, Greece and Spain. I traveled alone but felt incredibly included! Thank you to Javier and Phillipe. By the way, both guides were multi lingual and their English was superb!

5.00These were awesome! The tour guides were very knowleadgeable. We travelled in vans of 6-8 people. I even saw some tours that had only 3 people. Because they are small groups, the tours are very personalized. The places are beautiful!

5.00Very impressed with the whole package. The Price was great and good value. Joining instructions were clear and I felt it was well paced and never felt rushed. The guides I had, Ana (Day 1) & Nuno (Day 2) were very helpful, engaging and friendly. Highly recommended! My personal highlight was Nazare on Day 2. I had to rush to get to the Lighthouse and back again, but that was my choice as its not on the itinerary. I have done many of these types of daytrips over the years through various companies and this is one of the better ones
