Drive with an airconditioned, comfortable coach from Munich and visit the famous and fabulous castles built by the fairytale King Ludwig II.
These unique buildings in the midst of the Bavarian alpine landscape will
definitely fascinate you.
The first stop of our tour will take you to Schloss Linderhof, the smallest castle of the Bavarian king. It’s up to you to decide whether you choose to have a guided tour through the castle in english live, have a walk around the beautifully landscaped grounds or simply enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and get excited by the marvellous scenery.
We will then continue our tour to Hohenschwangau. Our stay there will offer you ample time to both try out the famous Bavarian cuisine in a restaurant and visit the castle of Neuschwanstein as well.
You can decide whether you want to see one or both castles from the inside with a guided tour and accordingly buy the tickets from our tour guide in cash.

We’ll meet at 8:45 a.m. at Sonnenstrasse 1, 80331 Munich. There you’ll find a tour bus marked “Mentor Reisen,” and our friendly driver and guide will welcome you as you check in. We’ll depart at 9:00 a.m. and drive past several Munich landmarks (which the guide will explain) on our way to the first stopp Linderhof Palace.
Schloss Linderhof
At around 11 a.m., you will reach the parking lot at Linderhof Palace. Explore the gardens surrounding the palace on your own and then make your way to the palace entrance. The smallest, fully furnished, palace was built in the 19th century in the French Rococo and Baroque styles. The Palace of Versailles influenced both the architectural style and the gardens. The guided tour takes place live in English at 11:10 a.m. and lasts about 30 minutes. The tour bus departs at 12:00 p.m. (not for option "Neuschwanstein, NO Linderhof!)

5.00My siblings and I had an absolutely perfect experience on our tour. We saw all of the highlights - Neuschwanstein Castle, Linderhof Castle, and the Venus Grotto, with a drive through Oberammergau to see the painted façade houses there. Sabine was a wonderful tour guide; she made sure we got to see everything and waited for us when my brother had some trouble with the steep inclines and was a bit behind the group. She also explained everything we were going to see and was generally helpful and available to answer questions, even providing her number for if we have any issues during the tour. The tour company is also very approachable and helpful. We were running a few minutes late because of difficulty procuring a taxi in the morning and I was able to immediately get in touch with the operator through their number on Viator where I did the booking, and let them know that we might be late, and they informed Sabine promptly. The provided snacks and drinks were tasty and freely offered. Regarding the castles themselves, they are truly stunning. Photography isn't allowed inside. This tour includes guided tours of both castles – to my understanding, that is the only way to see them as visitors are not allowed into the castles or the Grotto unsupervised. For those with mobility issues or disabilities, please be advised that the castles are not accessibility friendly as they have stairs inside and there is an inclined walk to reach each location from your drop off point and vice versa. Our guide Sabine was great about giving us options to reduce the walk length where possible but these castles are simply not accessible to someone who isn't able to climb stairs and walk several kilometres in one day. Overall, we had a lot of fun on this trip. If you only go on one day trip while in Munich, I highly recommend this one. **review posted on TripAdvisor as well**

5.00Visiting Neuschwanstein Castle was a wonderful and seamless experience that fully met my expectations. The tour was well-organized, informative, and ran smoothly, Alberto was a great guide and Agron was a great driver, both made a professional work and ensured everything went as planned. We ran into some friends on a similar tour with a different company and their experience was different and not nearly as good. We were lucky to have Christine as our guide and Rexhep as our driver! 5.00We booked a tour of Neuschwanstein and Linderhof Castles with Christine as our guide, and it was easily one of the highlights of our trip to Bavaria. From the moment we met her, it was clear we were in great hands. Christine's knowledge of both castles was genuinely impressive — she wove in fascinating historical context about King Ludwig II, the architecture, and the stories behind each room, without ever making it feel like a lecture. She had a wonderful way of bringing the history to life and answering every question we threw at her, no matter how random. Beyond her expertise, Christine was incredibly helpful throughout the day, making sure our group stayed comfortable, on schedule, and never feeling rushed despite the crowds at Neuschwanstein. She clearly cares about giving visitors a memorable experience, not just reciting facts. If you're planning a visit to these two castles, we can't recommend Christine highly enough. She turned what could have been a standard tourist stop into a truly great experience.

5.00Christine was amazing! The historical commentary throughout the trip was absolutely fascinating—I learned so much about German history, the kings, and the castles. Both castles were breathtaking, and I thoroughly enjoyed visiting them. If you’re hesitating because it’s a 10-hour trip, don’t. It is completely worth it. Everything is exceptionally well organised, with plenty of time to explore the castles, take photos, relax, and enjoy lunch without feeling rushed. The coach was also very comfortable, which made the journey enjoyable. Anyone visiting Munich should definitely take this trip. Highly recommended! ~ Thi

5.00Lot of walking and stairs. Some of walking is moderately difficult Walk to far end of bridge where it will be less crowded. Pedro knew everyone along the way felt that gave us special treatment
