When the citizens of Honor go to sleep, the hour of the night watchman strikes. Old legends come to life in the flickering light of the sooty lantern. The night watchman knows all the secret paths and corners of the city. With his halberd and waving coat, he shows the right way in the darkness of the city.

St. Peter's Church
First, this city tour takes you to Munich's oldest church, the Old Peter. The night watchman saw with his own eyes how the devil once hung on the top of Old Peter's tower and fought with the watchman. That is the reason why the tower is still slightly crooked today. After a few steps we are already in the old cemetery and discover stone evidence of the past. What funeral customs were there in the past and where does the saying come from that stinks to heaven?
Old Town Hall
We cross the old city moat of the 12th century and go to the old city gate at the old town hall. The bean counter was also a good acquaintance of the night watchman.

5.00We had the night watchman tour with Michael. Very informative, extremely entertaining and interactive. We were traveling with colleagues from Asia and America and had a lot of fun. We were a part of the Nightwatchmen's Guild for a day and very happy to return.
Nice gate one station has been missing ( Frauenkirche)

4.00My 9 year old son, husband and I really enjoyed our tour with The Nightwatchman. our guide was very knowledgeable. Learning some of the history of Munich was great and walking the old town courts and passages was majestic. We did however think we might get more ghoulish stories which would have made the tour more exciting. We would recommend to others.
