Leaving Ponta Delgada, the first stop will be at Vila Franca do Campo, which was the first capital of São Miguel, located in the south coast, where it´s possible to watch the islet of Vila Franca and its interior crater.

Arriving at Furnas‘ valley, near Furnas Lake, we will observe some volcanic phenomena, known as fumaroles and you will also be able to watch how it’s cooked the famous Cozido das Furnas (Furnas stew), a gastronomic specialty of the Azores.

5.00This was the second time we used OnTravel when visiting the Azores. Our guide Felipe was on time picking us up at the designated meeting spot. He provided a wonderful tour of Moisteros, Cete Sidedes and Miradouro do Pico do Carvão. He took us to a wonderful cheese shop and the market. The company communicates well and is very organized. We'd highly recommend for any tour or transport need in the Azores.
