This tour will take you to the highest points that surround Sete Cidades Volcano.
The itinerary is On and Offroad and If the weather is good, you can count on awesome views to the lakes and the ocean.

Driver`s license is mandatory for drivers and remember that this is a tour to enjoy the landscapes, not a rally competition.
You can have a two seater buggy or a 4 seater, depending on the number of people on your reservation.

This parish located on the north coast of São Miguel island is where we start and end the tour. After starting our tour on paved roads, we will ride along the seafront of and explore dirt roads in this area.
This is a mountain with an altitude of 845 meters. The breathtaking view is very similar to “Miradouro da Boca do Inferno” but from a higher perspective (accessible with the quads) and even more magnificent due to its altitude. From here you can see Lagoa Rasa, Lagoa de Santiago, Lagoa Verde, Lagoa Azul and a view to the whole crater of Sete Cidades dormant volcano. If weather is good, this one of the high lights of the tour, where we can see almost the whole island from the top.

5.00The buggy ride was really fun and we ended up seeing several amazing view points even though we couldn’t see the blue and green lakes from the viewpoints as there was too much fog. We did get to ride around them on a trail and it was beautiful. The guide was really good and patient with the group. It was an amazing experience.

1.00I don't recommend this trip. 95% of the trip is on paved roads or dirt roads any car can travel on starting from quite a distance away from Sete Cidatels. Guide did mention there had been a landslide recently so some offroad areas normally in the tour weren't allowed. No great tour guide talks, explorations or highlights of various sights, one small talk at the bridge in the Sete Cidatels village, mostly just drove by what we'd already seen on our own with our rental car. Honestly, I was quite bored most of the time and so disappointed to have wasted so much money on a nothing special afternoon. Noise of the machine was intense. Much better off just to rent a car and tour the place on your own.
Definitely worth it. Fun tour around the volcano
