5.00The excursion to Tulum ruins, Cenote hike/swim, and snorkeling with Turtles was the highlight of our trip to Puerto Morelos. Plus, the authentic Mexican food was excellent. Our tour guide, Alex, was wonderful and his extensive knowledge of the Mayans very interesting. Snorkeling with the turtles was awesome. We saw lots of turtles and were able to get up close to them. But the highlight of this excursion was swimming in the cenote. It was beautiful with lots of good quality formations and our guide was VERY helpful with those who were not comfortable swimming though a water-filled cavern. While the water was a little cool, the only way to do it is go big and take the dive from the platform. It was also very nice having a professional photographer with us arranged by the guide. This was the best photographer we’ve ever had on one of these trips. His equipment was outstanding and the pictures well worth it. Truly memorable experience.
