2.00We booked a pre-cruise Vancouver city tour through our vacation club. The cost was $80 USD per person. The reviews for this tour were good. However our experience was not. The tour bus was 40 minutes late picking us up from the hotel. No contact whatsoever from them regarding being late. It took 3 calls to the local office before anyone even answered the phone - on a normal working day during normal business hours. For all the confirmation emails sent prior to the trip to ensure we did what we were supposed to do, the lack of courtesy to let us know of the delay was ridiculous. This was booked for a group of 10 with some being elderly, so the waiting became an issue. Upon arrival, the bus driver, who was also the tour guide, did marginally apologize. The tour length was not truncated due to the late pick up. The tour guide left much to be desired. Her opinions about things were not necessary and sticking to the facts of things would be better. At the end of the tour, they took us through the China town area. This is a run down area with higher crime. Seeing homeless people doing drugs on the street is probably not the best ad to attract more tourists to the city. Overall, very disappointing experience. Definitely one of the worst tours we have experienced.

5.00Friendly and informative. Shaun was a great guide and a showman at heart. Lovely to visit Stanley Park and stop at the totem poles and to also stop for an hour at Granville Island where we had a mean margarita and shrimp ceviche. Finished with a whizz around China Town and then saw the Gastown steam clock.
Great guide but no tree pictures.

5.00Driver very knowledgeable and entertaining. Bus was clean and comfortable. Tour lasted 3.5 hours. Could have used more time on Granville Island but the tour was well worth it.

4.00The trip is definitely a great intro to the City and its most salient areas to visit. Our guide was knowledgeable local and enthusiastic. Unfortunately due to miscommunication we missed the first half hour of the tour. It was rectified but put our stress levels up and definitely knocked some enjoyment out of the tour for us sadly. It was the company’s fault the World Cup was in town which meant road closures but these were presumably planned weeks in advance. We were only informed about a new meeting place for pick up the day before by the Viator app and not direct WhatsApp or text. We missed it until it was too late.
