Placa d'Espanya
We’ll begin our journey at Plaça d’Espanya, where we’ll board a train bound for Montserrat. As we ride through the picturesque Catalan countryside, take in the sweeping views of rolling hills, charming towns, and lush landscapes. The train offers a comfortable and scenic ride, setting the tone for the day ahead. Soon, we’ll arrive at Monistrol de Montserrat, a quaint village nestled at the foot of the iconic mountain. This lovely town serves as the gateway to the majestic Montserrat range, home to the famous Benedictine monastery and the Black Madonna. Here, we’ll transition to the mountain railway, which ascends steeply up the rugged cliffs, offering even more breathtaking vistas. Along the way, you’ll get a sense of the region’s natural beauty and spiritual heritage. Whether you’re drawn by the culture, the history, or the spectacular scenery, this journey promises an unforgettable start to our Montserrat adventure.
Aeri de Montserrat
We’ll ride the Aeri de Montserrat cable car, soaring high above the rugged cliffs and vibrant green landscapes that surround the base of the mountain. As the cable car climbs, you’ll be treated to breathtaking panoramic views of the Catalan countryside, with rolling hills, distant towns, and winding roads unfolding beneath your feet. The gentle hum of the cable and the gradual ascent create a serene, almost meditative experience. It’s a moment to pause, take in the beauty, and feel the anticipation build. The ride itself becomes more than a means of transport; it is a highlight of the journey. The closer we get to the top, the more dramatic the scenery becomes, with jagged rock formations rising all around.
