Tour was great. Tour guide could have been a little more enthusiastic and engaged. Instead complained about having to much to drink the night before, made us feel like she didnt really want to be there.

What a wonderful experience! Our guide, Mimir, was fantastic! He was warm, knowledgeable, engaging, and enthusiastic. He definitely added to our having a great time. The food was special, unique and delicious. Each of the 5 stops offer a different way of experiencing Iceland’s best foods in charming surroundings. We are a group of 5 seniors (the fit and active kind) and we all loved it.

I’ve used Wake Up Reykjavík several times in the past and always a great experience. Our guide Haddy on the walking food tour was exceptional! He was informative of Iceland, knowledgeable about the foods and SO much fun. The food is incredible, you leave having eaten more than enough and delicious cuisines you might not otherwise have known about. Cannot recommend this enough, or having Haddy as a guide! Will definitely return again and use Wake Up Reykjavík for any of my tour needs.

Such a wonderful and fun food tour! Heidi, our guide, was fantastic! She provided interesting info about Icelandic history, as well as describing the food we were eating. The food was great—wonderful selection at nice restaurants. It’s a great way to spend an afternoon in Reykjavik, especially at the beginning of your visit. So happy to have been able to do this.

We had a fabulous time with Haddy. He is amazing! He made the food walk tour a great and memorable experience for us. He gave us a lot of history and information about Iceland, and at each stop he explained what we were about to eat. So happy we did this food walk tour. A great way to learn and taste the local cuisine, with a highly personable tour guide.

Loved this tour. Monte was our guide and he was very informative not only about the food but also history about Iceland. He was very personable. Very easy to find the meeting place. We had about 12 people in our group and that was a great size. We visited 5 places and each place was very good. The service at each place was excellent. Would definitely recommend this tour. You will not leave hungry.

If you want to taste and see a little bit of Iceland, you have to do this tour! Karítas was an exceptional guide—so friendly, entertaining, and deeply proud of Icelandic culture. She gave us a fascinating look into how traditional and modern food integrate into daily life. She was so attentive to everyone's needs and ensured top-tier service at every stop. The food was fantastic and left us completely full. I loved how inclusive they were with dietary restrictions, seamlessly handling vegan, vegetarian, and allergy needs on our tour. Pro tip: do this on your first or second day in Reykjavik! It sets up the rest of your trip perfectly.

There is a ton of food - more than one might usually eat at a meal. Beer and other drinks included at some stops!
