What To Expect
Join Chef Mimmo Siciliano for an authentic culinary experience in Taormina! Meet your chef and start your day with a visit to a small local market in Taormina, where you’ll discover fresh, seasonal ingredients surrounded by the colors and aromas of Sicily. Here, you’ll get to know the products you’ll use during the cooking class and immerse yourself in the true local atmosphere. Afterward, enjoy a transfer (included in the price) to “Ahoy Bistrò Siciliano” in Giardini Naxos, just 15 minutes from the meeting point, set in a stunning location overlooking the sea and the beautiful Bay of Naxos. During the experience, you’ll enjoy a tasting of local wines served with focaccia, Sicilian cured meats, and cheeses. Guided by the chef, you will prepare three traditional Sicilian dishes with your own hands: - One appetizer; - One fresh fish dish; - Six different types of fresh pasta, including the famous pasta alla Norma with eggplant and Pachino cherry tomatoes. Discover Sicily through its unique flavors—from the rich aroma of eggplants to the taste of fresh seafood, from capers from the Aeolian Islands to olives grown in fertile volcanic soil. After cooking, sit down and enjoy the meal you’ve prepared just steps away from the beach and the sea. To finish on a sweet note, savor small Sicilian cannoli served with a glass of limoncello. At the end of the experience, you’ll be transferred back to the meeting point.

5.00Wonderful experience from start to finish, was pleasantly surprised how much fun my husband and I had! We learned real techniques and recipes, as well as how to pick certain ingredients and how to prepare them to maximize flavor and time. Watching Mama Chef hand craft the pasta and then getting to try the techniques she taught- beautiful experience! Thank you to all!

5.00This class was so much fun! We brought our daughter to Italy to experience the cuisine and this was the perfect class for it. They kept us entertained with cooking and eating and we learned so much! The food was amazing of course, and we were stuffed when we left. I would highly recommend taking this class… the chefs were so friendly and made our experience great.

5.00My wife and I did this cooking class 10yrs ago and decided this time to go back and bring the family. It's was as much fun and informative as we remembered and even better due to the change of venue to the waterfront. Chef Vittorio and Mom Francesca were personable and friendly, teaching us all patiently how to prepare fresh pasta, sauce, Swordfish and then cook. Cost wise it was worth every euro, in addition I want to commend the additional staff that was also very helpful and gracious to us all. If we get back to Sicily a third time, we will absolutely be doing this once again.

5.00The experience was incredible. We went to the local market where the chef explained about the freshness of the ingredients we were buying. We were then transported down to Mimmo’s restaurant where his brother and mother taught us how to make many different pastas. The recipes for all we ate were shared with us. When it was time to eat, we sat and feasted on all the foods we created! Absolutely worth your consideration.
